I'm not sure he'd see a move to Scotland and us as a step up from belgium

As a club we are bit as a league no. He's probably looking for both. Portugal, Holland, France etc

Its the club not the country.

Many EPL players, the so-called greatest league on the world, would jump at the chance to play for PSG, Juve, Bayern etc.

Harry Kane being a prime example. Dumping the so called greatest league in the world and a so called "super league" side to play in a weaker league with less financial muscle.
He could've had his pick of EPL title contenders, but chose Bayern.

We are miles above Cercle Brugge. Its not even a debate.

It’s both and it’s massively naive to think otherwise.

Harry Kane signing for one of the world’s top 5 clubs playing in one of the world’s top 5 leagues and competing in the Champions League every year, doesn’t help the point you’re trying to make.

It’s like comparing signing for us and signing for Como for example. We’re obviously a far bigger club, but they play in a far better league and, even without European football, are guaranteed 16 games a season against top European clubs (Milan, Inter, Napoli, Juve, Atalanta, Roma, Lazio, Fiorentina), whereas we can only offer 8 European games and 4 against the Huns. Some players will see that, along with the prestige of playing for us and winning trophies, as more than enough to entice them to Scotland and others simply won’t.

I imagine somebody playing for Killie or St Mirren would jump at the chance to play for Dinamo Zagreb, RB Salzburg or Rosenberg/Molde.

While i agree in principle, i think you’ll find a lot of the time players would love to play for us but don’t wanna play in Scotland. I genuinely don’t think there would be a more attractive option in the UK bar two if we were based in England

Think this would of been based on how Inamura settled in and if he needed a loan or not. Wouldn’t say its a priority now.

Even for 6 months initially and then re-assess.

What I've seen has been encouraging but it's still only pre season. Like the sounds of this guy too.

Probably would never have came here anyway, we're in a dodgy position with anyone we sign knowing they're going to be back-up and rarely play big games really.

Be trying to patter them up about Tierney gets injured a lot so you might play more and we'll sub you on for Tierney all the time.

Given it's Tierney our back up lb should see plenty of minutes. We have had Scales moving to LB in all of our opening 4 games. Maybe someone like Nanzinho would need more guarantees but there will be plenty of chances and minutes if we do get someone.

Abit like Kuhn and potentially Barnardo, at a big team youth set up, left and done well in first season outside of that at early 20's. Decorated at all youth levels internationally. Costs between 4-7m.

They should be the market we look for along with players going into last year of their contracts.

Half a dozen of them type signings a year easy in our range and prob make money in the long run
