I like stengs a lot, if he didnt have his inuries hed probably be in a top league already. Its likely jota is going to have recurring injury problems and id rather our squad wasnt full of these kind of players. happy if we get him but also wouldnt be bothered if we got someone else.

Two foreign clubs want to take Calvin Stengs away from Feyenoord

    – A new international adventure looms for Calvin Stengs. The Feyenoord attacking midfielder could join Italian club Pisa and English club Leicester City.

Both clubs have reported to De Kuip and have concrete interest in the man who is no longer guaranteed a starting place at Feyenoord.

    Not even minutes
Stengs hasn't played any minutes this season. Last season, he played just fifteen matches and scored one goal. In the 2023-24 season, he'll make 38 appearances and score ten goals.

Robin van Persie has already indicated in the run-up to this season that there will be stiff competition for Stengs, who has struggled with his fitness for a long time but has fully prepared himself again this pre-season and hoped to be used in the number ten position or as a right winger.

    46 matches per season
Stengs is 26 and is at a stage in his career where he doesn't want to sit on the bench and would like to make a fresh start abroad. In England, Leicester City is a strong contender to challenge for the Championship title, but in that league below the Premier League, clubs play 46 matches per season, plus two cup competitions (the League Cup and the FA Cup).

Celtic was previously mentioned as a potential candidate for Stengs, but the Scottish club hasn't substantiated its interest. Feyenoord's management, however, hopes to make serious deals with Pisa and Leicester.

Feyenoord wants to make the selection, which is currently too full with 38 men, workable for Van Persie and will therefore cooperate in a transfer of Stengs.

He was linked to both us and the Huns McCtominay. And was out of range for either, was absolutely dreaming thinking it would be possible in the slightest and I seen us and them saying nowhere near good enough.

    Was a * joke :56:

Stengs is a cracking player. It’s literally just injury worries in this link for me. I’d be delighted with it if the worries weren’t there.

The reported fee of £5.1m would be accepted, my worry is that they’re trying to shift him when he still has some value due to injuries, thinking that over the next year or two they’ll get worse.

But I suppose that is what a stringent medical is for isn’t it? As a player, he would be * excellent here.

    Hmm.

Would have taken him on loan. Anyway hopefully there's another RW in the pipeline.
