If he was better on the ball hed prob have got a move to a better league by now, i think those type of leagues would be put off by that.

Theres a reason we have tried to replace scales 3 times but never ccv though. Hes a much better defender.

I'm not but it's telling you can't debate the point and just post abuse. Wee man syndrome from yourself.

This is incredible. Scales tried a pass between the lines against Aberdeen that got intercepted a led to a chance and got absolutely slaughtered by the usual suspects.

CCV last night under no pressure and being the last man in defence let the ball trickle under his foot and allow the Kairat player in on goal with no cover and people are calling for giving him a pass.

The absolute double standards you guys dish out to players. The bar is set very high for the defender who is deemed a dummy and very low for the guy who is meant to be a superstar. Why is that? Should it not be another way around.

He was have away a completely daft free kick in stoppage time.

He's our best defender but he's nowhere near as good as is made. If Scales did that last night he would have got slaughtered. We all know that's true.

Aye let CCV concentrate on defending and get him a partner who can do what he can't.

Him and Ajer would be a great partnership.

Hopefully JSP can be that player

The lack of competition for him, over the last year it’s been an issue. There’s a level of complacency and slip in concentration that comes with knowing it’s very secure.

He is comfortably the best CB at the club, very comfortably, he doesn’t need to prove he is every week and there’s no chance of losing his place because even with the slight complacency and slips of concentration he’s still far ahead as the main CB there.

It’s came along with when he’s been fitter and available for games, and I think that might be why. Previous seasons when he was fit for only 35 games or so, he’s competing with his own body more than anything. And you see that in him, when he’s played when he shouldn’t, his best performance may be semi final against the Huns, he could barely run. He was making * sure he was pushing himself through the pain barrier and making that game count before he’d need the surgery.

Problem we have if I’m right though, we won’t get someone to sit on the bench good enough to be a challenge to him.

I really wish he didn’t add not that far behind him to that. It was spot on outwith that.

I really like Scales, stick up for him more than I’m sure about sometimes cos * do my nut in about him but CCV is comparable to the best I’ve seen at CB for us, so far ahead it’s unreal. He’s above Van Dijk comfortably in our strip, as a CB, Van Dijk was obviously destined for the career he’s had and as a footballer CCV can’t come close but defensively he’s been far ahead of him.

It’s Mjallby, CCV then need to mention VVD and I throw Marc Reiper into the conversation. Scales doesn’t come into that conversation, at all, and I * love Scales.

Scales doesn’t get away with imagined slights, I’ll fight that battle. But CCV will get away with things Scales doesn’t, because * of course he will. He’s earned that, taking it to the ultimate comparison, Henrik Larsson could get away with whatever the * he wanted. Because of course he can. And he did miss a lot of sitters that we collectively won’t remember or care about, sometimes if you watch old highlights and he does so it’s so surprising because he never done anything wrong in my mind. CCV isn’t Henke, but he’s been so good when he makes mistake, * it, he averages about one a season.

It was a lot closer than I assumed by the time it wasn’t actually on target I know that. * shat myself, so did Kaspar:56:

It never went in though, if it did even with it being a * up by CCV, it would be incredible bit of skill and finishing and would hold my hands up, after calming down.

We’re scattergun angry the now, CCV is far away down the list of worries for us for me
