Is that why we keep passing it rather than shoot until that also has no impact?

Hatate needs the freedom to try stuff that might not come off and not be the safe options I’m happy to let him have the freedom of making mistakes and not shackle his game.

Almaty the other night though, he done very well to keep the pass to a teammate so many times, it was criminal how many times he got a pass when he never should be the option, occupying 3 players, with the pass being undercooked. He bailed * out so many times by actually getting to the ball and finding a teammate.

Where he was recieving the ball especially first half was * shocking from us

I couldn’t possibly accept a draw when you’ve been so stupid.

I like Hatate, high risk high reward player.

If there was a few more like him then not everything would have to be running through him in terms of creative passing from midfield and it could open him up more to shoot.

He would struggle in the EPL IMO. I'm one of his biggest fans but just don't think he would suit it

Not just that anymore though, he’s learned about when he should be doing that.

He knows when to put his foot on the ball, and not force it.

And I think that’s something that happened just last season. Domestically he rarely needs to, but when it’s a one goal lead 80 minutes in then he does.

Other games, when he played next to McCowan he fully done that role, and usually got called quiet and a poor game for it but it was him doing the role that Engels would do for him. That was BR making him learn how to. And it was a good lesson, it’s taken him up a level to CL type player. Not just moments of brilliance there, the all round game.

Him against RBL was it all coming together. I was scared that BR would take that unpredictable side of him away through overcoaching, but he gives him the licence to be fine losing the ball or misplacing the pass, because the reward when it comes off is worth it. But he’s got him to know when it’s not something we should be doing.

This is Hatate’s season this one. We just need him to stay fit throughout it. Previous years, thats been a big part of him being on the cusp of a PotY season but is unavailable at key moments bad luck, and usually when he’* his best form consistently

It's all about the balance in that midfield three.

    There isn't any.
Instead all our midfielders try to do the same job and no one is really covering for the other.

Hatate makes attacking plays, mistakes happen and/or others aren't prepared for his pass, he then has to turn around and belt it back to act defensively. We need an actual defensive midfielder who will soak up those moments and get the ball back to him as quickly as possible.
Just now we are asking Cal to do that, when Cal is best doing what Hatate is trying to do. So then we ask Engels or Nygren to do it, who are even more better suited to doing what Cal is meant to do, which is what Hatate is doing.

Jesus at this rate we will end up losing Kuhn, Maeda, Hatate and just to make it worse CCV in one window if media sources were ITK.

FYI I know no links have been mentioned about CCV, but at this rate might as * well race to the bottom and make it the single worst windown we will ever have in our history
