The bhoys from Kneecap are well on the way to making the Gaelic version overtake the * version in popularity :50:

Edit - popularity over here i mean. Roll on the day.

Celtic Park should be used regularly for Mass again like back in the day and Priests should be given free admission on match days.

I mean technically you are correct. But Id suggest the Scotland National team were always pretty good until they stopped playing ginger players.

A clear admission you never took the time to learn the more poetic Gaelic version. A bold move.

Grew up with it being put on RTE by my Grandad last thing every night after what I think was the 10 o'clock news when my Dad took us back to Ireland in the Summer. All had to stand for it. Then * knows how many decades of the roseary for my dead Gran just to finish it off.

Definitely a nationl anthem., regardless of what language it is sung in.

Also happens to be a distant relative who wrote it.

We will never move forward as a club from where we are now until we lose the league. Board are happy to stay ahead with minimum to zero net spend. They will only react financially if we aren’t champions. Horrible that that’s the case.

Brendan Rogers is no longer giving 100% to the club.

I once represented Ireland at an * sport level through the grandfather rule. And at my first tournament, we were told we'd all better know and sing the national anthem (there was some previous controversy over proddies not singing it). And I wasn't aware there was any version other than the English. And I * belted this thing out while all my teammates * stared at me like I was completely insane. They had no idea there was an English version; I had no idea there was a Gaelic version.

And I'll tell you another thing. I never * properly learnt it in Gaelic, I just sort of half mimed it while humming the tune. Because I'm a lazy, ignorant * :D

The execs must know that the payout for the boys club victims must be in the higher tens of millions if they are hoarding this much cash with not even a hint of spending any of it

Not sure that's true but regardless it should have been settled many years ago. How old will these people be when they finally get justice?

No, 24 out of 28 claims have been settled, with the next hearing being 4th September for the remaining cases.

It’s been settled. For not enough. With no admittance of wrongdoing by the club.

I’d like to blame legal * and lawyers for that, and no doubt that is what they said. But those that run is, I think that’s something they are all too happy to do and would be the same regardless.

After the court decided compensation, which is too low IMO, I wish we gave far more voluntary and a public apology and acknowledgment that regardless of legal arguments and technicalities, the club wasn’t in anyway good enough and failed them. I despise the way we’ve dealt with that. Different board and ‘owners’ than the * scum that was in charge and culpable, but fought tooth and nail to cover for the * basically.

Fs wasn’t aware that 4 are still going through the courts. Leaves a small amount of hope that when that’s settled we do something that’s morally better, and acknowledge, voluntarily give more than legally ordered and actually act in a manner I don’t find * shameful.

Whatever happens, I hope the victims find some sense of closure or whatever is closest to that.

Same mate, I think that’s why the club should acknowledge it and say they were let down by Celtic.

Acknowledgment and public apology was a big part of how long it’s been in the court. I can’t remember for certain but we offered compensation and it wasn’t taken because it was without any admittance from the club.

The legal side, they will absolutely not let that but when the court stuff is sorted, I want us to. Morally.

Full thing is heartbreaking, and tribalism has taken over for a long time about it, and that makes it a talking point rather than actually caring about what it was. Disgusting all round
