    Very surprised we didnt see him.

    Hes the one midfielder we have that hasnt being automated into receiving the ball and looking to pass it wide or back.

    I've seen nothing from Engels or Nygren to suggest they are better players than McCowan. Ideally I'd want better at the club but with what we have right now I'd be starting him.

    Should have definitely been on, can beat men shoot and create.

    I thought even at HT we should have brought him on for Forrest and put Nygren on the wing then he never even got on, Rodgers acts like he can't play a European game cause hes only a wee diddy who used to play for Ayr or whoever.

    If he signed for 11M from Germany and Engles arrived as a 1M purchase from Dundee it would have been a different story last night.

    McCowan looked good pre-season and would have started last night. I also feel he would have scored or assisted last night. It was just his type of game to unlock

    I'd be talking to my agent if I was him. He might be living the dream but he's not getting enough game time. Considering how * we are at the minute, that's a worry.

    He can create going forward but he gives it away way too often to ever be a reliable starter for us..
