Does it feel to anyone else that it's just a handful of forum posters that are as worked up about this?

Genuine question, because I've not heard a peep of dissent from our 2 home games. That's the only forum the board and their peers can be exposed to the feelings of the support and it's all as mild as a bar of Dove soap.

I think it will shift quickly if things don’t go well in the next few weeks. Some big games coming.

It’s been a decent start to the season so far and it always helps the crowd if der Hun is struggling.

Also this support gets a lot of stick sometimes but it’s worth reminding we put up with a lot of bullshit for the fortunes we put into this club and we support the club incredibly well.

    You're right
Just 3 or 4 of us on here wrongly annoyed.

The progression we've made over the last 20 odd years has been nothing short of sensational and we are the envy of all clubs in Europe. PSG, Madrid and Barcelona can only dream of our level of success and progression on the greatest stage of all

I think most fans are frustrated...

However, we've won our first 3 games and have a good chance of CL Qualification after a favourable draw, with a window that is still open.

We're also used to having very poor transfer windows, so a lot of fans have become apathetic.

The Huns looks awful again which again has resulted in a bit more calm.

This board have done an amazing job if curbing our expectations.

Fans settle for the minimum required and are powerless to change anything as we dominate domestically.

Wonder what the plan is if we fail to qualify for the CL ?

Unfortunately true and the board know this.
It's why they stay quiet and let the fans argue between themselves knowing come end of the window when they sign two makeshift players, some will argue it's a great window again.

Only time the club "act" is when we get to the stage of things like the COVID season.

Last time in these qualifiers we went to Denmark with a back line of Ralston Welsh Murray Taylor. In previous years we've seen Mcgregor at LB, Bitton at CB and O'connell being flung in at the deep end

    It's nothing short of incompetence

Heads should roll either way. You don't allow unsafe practices in the work because nobodys' been injured. Yet.

The play off is an accident waiting to happen.

As long as we continue to win domestically it will prevent fan dissatisfaction from spilling over.

The only time we havent won it in the last 16 or so years it resulted in fan unrest - and that was with a lockdown happening. So I do think its always there simmering beneath the surface.

The issue the board have it pretty easy. Rangers have been badly mismanaged so have been unable to mount significant challenges. And we dwarf all the other SPL teams in resources. So the board have grown comfortable and lazy in their approach. In a more competitive league the way we have gone about this transfer window (as an example) would likely be punished. In the SPL it isnt.

Demonstration of that magnitude are dictated by results on the pitch.. people work hard to buy their season tickets its a big ask..

As it stands just now we'd be taking action for winning a double last season (almost a treble), 13 leagues out of 14, doing well in the CL last season.

With the window still open and CL Qualification still within our grasp its probably premature. I would understand it, but it isn't likely to happen or even if it did actually achieve anything.

Most fans are waiting to see how it plays out and are confident that the strategy will pay off and we will close the window with some quality signings even if they are frustrated by the length of time its taken. If that doesn't happen then fan protest will ramp up. At the end of the day if some form of protest was taking place and the board changed their strategy in reaction to it then it would be even more worrying as they should be strong enough to execute the long and short term strategies ignoring outside noise. If we fail to qualify for the champions league or drop points in any game before the window closes I put that firmly with the manager and team as I believe we have better quality players than anyone we will face in that period.

By this time last year, the Engel links have surfaced, the Trusty links were days away from doing so. The McCowan ones had been rumbling all summer. This year nothing.

I don't believe there to be much in the Balikwisha rumours, it's the same thing as the Kvistgarden, Orjasaeter ones - we've moved on. There could be something in the Breum links but he just doesn't seem the profile we need, saw him play on Sunday v Ajax - he's a tidy player but never a winger. I don't think there are any genuine links here at play. We are 2 weeks away and we have nothing. We know the pace it takes for us to conclude our deals, we know that we don't get transfer deals done on the hop from the media so its safe to assume we have nothing in store,

About 3 weeks I said JSP would be it before the CL when some were confident we'd have more players in, the reason I said that is I've seen how we do business, the link will break, the talks will be protracted and even when the transfer is done it will take 10 days to announce. At that time there were no concrete links at all and its been the exact same since then up to now.

If we don't get a concrete link to a new player this week then I'm afraid to tell you guys but we're in the loan market on deadline week and the best we can hope for is 2-3 and we'll be lucky if one of those is a permanent deal.

    Cannot see both being sold.

I think Maeda could go. If he does we need 4 wingers and 2x strikers though. Which won't happen.

Selling maeda and Kuhn in the same window would be pretty mental.

:56: hopefully when people read that they could calm down. Littery the last few summers we've always signed 3/4 people in the last week. Why the * would that ever be any different?

Should we do it early? Aye.

Are the same players available earlier? Possibly not. Things move fast in the last week. Good players left out of epl squads etc and need to move fast, or face a year in the juniors. Trust positive Charlie. Everything will be OK.
