I'd prefer to sign 2 wingers and play Maeda up front.

Maeda with Idah as back-up will have 40 goals in them or more. Especially if we have more creative wingers, I don't even want fast wingers, I want creative, goalscoring types who cut in.

Like Roberts, Elyounoussi, Commons style guys who are good finishers and creative, Nygren looks that type as Johnston and Tierney both like to run down in behind and cross and cut back.

Then when we want the option of pace we can put Maeda wide in those games and play Yamada and whatever.

I want wide players who will score and create for fun in the League. Because I think guys like Maeda, Idah, Yamada will already do quite well in Europe where you get to break on teams a bit more even Engels.

 

Cluj president Nelu Varga has been mocked for his valuation of Louis Munteanu.

Celtic reportedly had a £6.9million bid booted out for the Romanina striker earlier in the window, with Varga claiming he could get €20m.

He also claimed a switch to Rennes was all but done, but there's been no movement since and Munteanu refused to play in last week's Europa League defeat to Braga, according to reports in Romania.
