I honestly dont think he would we even start for the better teams in the league. So far he doesnt look as good as guys like Dalby at Dundee Utd last season or Murray at Dundee never mind Bowie and Shankland who are a level apart.

I don’t even think he is too good for the LOI. His record at Shamrock Rovers was decent but hardly ridiculous. 29 goals in 91 league games.

Shankland, for example, has a far better record in the Scottish Premiership but he’s by no means too good for Scottish football.

He needs a loan within our league or at a lower Champ/good League One team, should have been done before now.

I doubt he will ever reach a level where he can be even a legit Celtic player in the way and level Scales has done but for sure if that is ever to have any chance of happening he needs to be out on loan this season at another decent spfl side where he can play regularly.

We hear that Bolton offered us £500,000 for Kenny last week. We knocked it back as we want more than double that. As such we’ve agreed to bump his wages up. But not by much obviously.

Wouldn't surprise me with this board. Rather lose an extra million in wages instead of taking a 500k hit on a player we don't want.

St Mirren wanted Johnny Kenny in the last window but Celtic wouldn’t sanction the deal. If he was to be put out on loan then St Mirren would definitely want to be in the mix. The Buddies are looking at two or three other targets, they are primarily south of the border. It may also be a case of the manager moving one out to perhaps free up additional budget for the top end of the park.

Would be a brilliant brilliant move on loan to them. Play every second and also in such a physical team. Get it sorted

Hopefully, from Rodgers comments yesterday seems like the club are holding off on loans to determine who gets priority. Sounds like we want tilio sold not loaned, and potentially the same for Welsh. How many international loans would that leave us with?

wonder if the club would prefer a loan to England for Kenny in that case

St Mirren would seem like a good next step on loan for Kenny. If he is to have any chance at Celtic longer term he needs to be playing regularly this season.

For sure I think they would be a good option for a season long loan for Kenny this season. A good season long loan at a decent spfl level side where he plays regularly is exactly what he needs right now. I would think this was part of the plan when he signed the contract extension this summer.

33/1 for top goalscorer. If he went to st mirren and played every minute you'd never know

I think he would do well for them and get a decent amount of goals if he does go there on loan. Aberdeen is another side badly in need of a striker that might be a good option also.

After last nights performance the only way I see him leaving is if we sign 2 strikers before the deadline. Rodgers doesn’t trust idah or yamada. He can’t go into the season with 1 new signing only so if we don’t get a permanent striker and a loan in I don’t see Kenny going anywhere
