Two of that style is something me and my brothers discussed for years, the last I can remember being close to it was when it was Matthews and Izzy.

Two direct running solid powerful attacking full backs. We’ve had one wing of it, and the other different. Lustig for years on the right with KT left, Taylor on the Left with AJ/Ralston/Jura the other.

I’m not sure if we have ever had two that type in my memory anyway.

Did we have Agathe and Guppy same time? Even that though, Jackie Mac was better option less attacking though for both

If Taylor stayed he would still play every week but I think he grew tired of being the scapegoat which i never understood either.

I think Tierney would be a mile off it taking the ball in the middle of the park in tight areas. That’s not his game and he already has the tendency to go long when he doesn’t see a first pass.

im hoping the left back we bring in is more suited to playing in the pitch just for the tactical flexibility if nothing else. This Scales at left back thing isnt gonna cut it if KT gets his customary spell out. I was hoping after st mirren he was just trying to send a message.

He would play plenty anyway, but a clear 2nd choice. But not like a normal 2nd choice player for the one position, he would play plenty, maybe not start them if KT stays fit but play still. And chances are he will get injured, he could be 2nd choice and get more minutes than him and nobody would be surprised.

I think him knowing he won’t be first choice, and no chance of winning first choice this time like he had done any other LB coming in, us being dicks to him a lot and he’d know it’d be so much worse if KT got a rest and he played and it didn’t go well.

And he got a good offer, in a nice country, in a good team fighting for trophies and not the same pressure as he faces here, as a new dad. Hard to make a case for him to stay really.

You’re spot on bout Tierney not being suited to what he done btw, I just disagree he’d be utter * at it for us, defensively doing what Taylor was doing he’s still going to be much better. But on the ball in the middle supporting the midfield? Not his game. He can play in the middle if the games infront of him, he does it at CB and he had one game at DM once for us he done very well. Killie I think? But there’s not a lot out there who can do what Taylor actually done when he would move into the middle that inverted role. People don’t realise just how a high a level he done it at. If anyone wants to check how much he could be unreal at it, and it working perfectly, the Leipzig game last year is the best example.

It went unnoticed a lot. Supporting players can get ignored like that, Joe Ledley a lot done that with because of that. Taylor now he’s gone seems to be getting credit he deserved a long time ago

On topic, Scales is neither of them. I love him but BR’s murdering him putting him there. Fans are already scapegoating with him as well.

He speaks so well too, a leader...

With him and KT we've got two really quality fullbacks.

Was gonna say the same. Amazing leader and speaks so well.
Interview after the game too would have given Murray a nice confident boost

Another one back to his best already, looked absolutely rampant up and down that line. He’s going to be hard to keep a hold of in the next few windows.
