Posted in the match thread that he’d made quite a few nice runs and was getting quite visibly frustrated with not getting the passes.

 

Hard to say much about him other than he looked quick.

We are * poor at getting our forwards into the game. Same was happening last season.

 

It’s a lazy comparison but one he used himself, I was watching his movement carefully and it is similar to what Kyogo would do.

But annoyingly, it was like Kyogo’s movement Rodgers first season back, when he could do it all he wants but the pass would never happen.

He was through 4/5 times if we looked forward and played the early ball. We kept trying to play him deep and bounce off him, he seemed ok at that he has strength but he looked alive when the run in behind was on. It’s something that I’ve only seen us doing when Maeda was up top actually doing the pass in behind when the run is on. I don’t know if that’s because Maeda they would bet will always get it, not be muscled off it. And they don’t need it to be perfect for him to do it. Kyogo we didn’t due to that I think, muscled off the ball or brushed aside if it’s not a perfect ball.

Yamada is fast and strong, honestly movement and physical strengths he looks a mix between Kyogo and Maeda. Just wish he got the * passes so I’d have a clue if he’s anything similar to finish them.


Last season I think we got the forwards involved brilliantly btw, his 1st season back * it was chronic

 

I know it's early days but he looks miles off it to me so far

 

Not had enough gametime for me to judge yet tbh, but he's not done much when he has played.

Would be starting him at the weekend and see how he gets on.

He will be another signing that will be out the door in a year to 18 months time.

He had to get everything perfect when he came on tonight and he just didn’t. Far too early to judge but that wasn’t great at all

 

Looking more and more likely we need Vardy.

 

What choice do we have, other than to give him a chance? Idah and Kenny not doing it, and no wingers to push Daizen up front.

 

Very early but he's no Kyogo level. That's for sure, even this early on.

 

Impossible to judge him, throwing him on tonight was utter desperation and a situation we should’ve never found ourselves in.

 

Not gonna bash this guy yet. He's only had dribs and drabs so far.

 

* me getting judged on 3 sub appearances, barely got a sniff but at least he pressed and made some runs.

 

That's 3 games now he's come on and I genuinely don't think he has had a kick but folk are telling me he looks good. Not saying he looks bad but it's impossible to judge

 

You can't say if he'll be a good or bad player for us yet - far from it.

Tonight was just yet another * situation to be thrown into. Given about 15 minutes and thrown into a team that was creating absolutely nothing.

Needs a few starts under his belt. Doubt Rodgers will give him them.

 

Needs to start on Saturday.
