you know something maybe us fans are..... asking too much and maybe the board do have a point......

in the past i can remember them saying players didnt want to come here they wanted to keep their options open to see if they could get a bigger move to one of the richer leagues, that is understandable, scottish football had a reputation of being a hackers league and i think it still does have that reputation, although not as bad as it used to be but * sticks

if your a decent experienced footballer or decent young player your agents arent going to be signing you to a scottish club early on unless its an amazing deal for you

but we dont pay the highest of wages and some players will maybe see the risk of playing here and getting a serious football injury too much of a risk when they could just as easy get similar wages at a load of the mid size clubs on the continent where there the football is more professional and there isnt a lot of hard man footballers waiting to do you and your career.

i was thinking of the foreign players we have had in the last 5 to 10 years they usually have a purple patch of a season and then they have a season or 2 where they are bang average or * like they think they are too big for celtic or scottish football i can think of the top of my head dembele edouard khun am sure there are hunners tbh, maybe they think they have let all the big league football teams know how good they are and then they go into protect themselves mode.

so maybe lawell etc are right to wait until near the end of the window and all the decent but not to decent players are more realistic about who they can play for and are more willing to sign for celtic in the scottish league ?

what do you guys think ?

 

We actually spent more on a single transfer and over all in Fergus last window in charge, compared to this one so far, 29 years later.

 

When Brendan does a book I can't wait to read about this *.

Seriously * off with miss management. Not looking for us to spend stupid money. Just want to see our team at least try to be in a stronger place than the year before. Feels like negligence from our hierarchy as its obvious to a blind man we need 2 wingers a decent striker and a solid midfielder and we drifting along rudderless.
Not getting another penny from me.

 

Sign Bowie from Hibs and that would be a good start. Big strong physical players who can also play a bit
