Rodgers doesn't identify the players. He never has done. Obviously, a bit like Ange, he may want to turn to ex players he has had previously who can do a good job for him, like Scott Sinclair.

He's part of the negotiations when it comes to streamlining the targets. Along with Paul Tisdale and the Chief Scout.

Just leaving this here has the ever been a board Rodgers has got along with … maybe he’s the issue look at his time at leicster and liverpool then His first time here and possibly his second time here if your a club looking to take on Rodgers surely you start to ask questions about him his attitude and working with others

The aim is to sign the best players we possibly can within our budget, as it is for all football clubs.

Id disagree and at higher value players create far higher risk and there is 2 very obvious examples staring you in the face. An £11m midfielder who can't get a game and a £9.5m striker who can't trap a ball.

Cost of the player is irrelevant if the scouting is good, unfortunately ours is far too hit and miss. Mainly bcoz our approach to that is similar to our approach to most departments of the club. Cheap and bare minimum. Invest in the scouting and it reduces the risk of a Tilio or an Engles.

You mean the same Celtic board who have continually failed to properly back our managers, and have acted the same unprofessional way in near every transfer window for the past decade. Aye, it will be Rodgers though. Jesus wept.

Ange postecoglou was backed and was a succesful window

Rodgers first season was backed didn’t play any of the players
Second season last year he was backed more than any other Celtic manager

We should be going for Robbie Keane at end of the season

We spent less than £8m. He didn’t play any of the players is absolute pish as well. Sinclair and Dembele not play I take it?

To be fair Rodgers was backed last summer to the tune of £25 million and the best he could come up with was Trusty, Idah and Engels. The core of our team is still the Ange guys, CCV, Johnston, McGregor, Hatate and Maeda with Jota now back as well. Recruitment since Rodgers return has been abysmal.

Nicholson and Ange's Jan window was the best in recent memory..

No Lawwell in the building, can't be a coincidence.

If the board don't trust Rodgers then they should sack him.

Regardless of anyone's thoughts on Trusty, Engels or Idah they all played a part in a double winning season and literal CL progress

Same goes for Rodgers though. If he's going to insist it's his way or no way thats * up too.

If he doesn't agree with things he can leave. Staying and not managing the situation to a way that benefits the team the best isn't on either. I'm not impressed with either side at the minute. I might be being unfair on Rodgers as I don't know the exact details but that could be the same for the board.

Rodgers didn't cause the board to pay that much for those players. We paid that much because like we are doing so now, * about until the last week of the window.

I also don't think he came up with Engels or Trusty. Idah, he definitely knew a fair bit about. But I doubt he expected to pay £9m for him when he first arrived on loan.

That deal was another example of why option to buys should be included at least 9 times out of 10.

Regardless, it's still no reason for us to not back him again. This is the most successful manager we've had since Stein. He deserves to be given more support.

The players had clearly been identified before Rodgers. From what we seen from them, none of them were good enough. Despite some getting carried away about a couple of Nawrocki performances, in CCV’s position I’ll add.

McGregor is more Rodgers player than Ange’s. It was Rodgers who totally kickstarted McGregor’s Celtic career.

Think that's true of Engels and Trusty but Rodgers definitely pumped up Idah's price by the way he talked about him over the summer we signed him. There was definitely a point we would have walked or stuck at £5m if Rodgers hadn't made such a big deal of signing him.

The deal could have been done sooner I feel but will never know. I don't think we will make that huge a loss on him anyway and tbh I couldn't care. * the board.

Rodgers probably thought Idah could become a better player than he has after some of his performances while on loan. He just hasn't kicked on at all. If he was playing the way we know he can week in week out then £9m wouldn't have been as big a deal, but he's lucky if he shows it at all just now, nevermind on a weekly basis.

Deal should have been done for £5m tops. I'm fine with the signing of Idah, we just paid too much and a lot of that was down to Rodgers. I don't remember another team showing any interest so pretty sure if we sell Idah it would need to be a knock down price. Keeping him and getting a proper first choice is what I think we should do though. 20 goals or close again is not to be sniffed at.
