I think its becoming more obvious that we don't think we can get value a lot of the leagues we once thought we could. Our board got scared by the prices quoted for Kvistgarden, Orjasaeter and Jansson over the past 2 windows and I think this has prompted them to decide to revert to waiting to see who's not wanted on deadline day week. It's the fact that everything is so quiet in the past 4/5 weeks, not one credible link that leads me to believe we're holding off now.

With that in mind I have had a look at some clubs who are top heavy in attacking areas. Marseille are definitely one that stick out. They have the following on their roster

    Maupay
    Aubameyang (new signing)
    Gouiri
    Greenwood
    Harit
    Paixiao (new signing)
    Rowe
    Weah (new signing)
    Mughe
    Abdallah
    Moumbagna

I'd imagine there will be 3 or 4 of those out the door before deadline day.

    Brighton are another side:

    March
    Gruda
    Tzimas
    Rutter
    Minteh
    Welbeck
    Kostoulas
    Mitoma
    Encisio
    Sarmiento
    Moran
    Sima
    Buonanotte

Again 4 or more of those will definitely be out the door

Chelsea are another but don't really see many of those options being attainable. I think this is going to be the type of market we will be consigned to unfortunately.

the absolute romantic in me would love him to come in and solve that right wing position now. Genuinely coming into his own now for a good Copenhagen side alongside Elyounoussi. Had a lot of promise over the years and a big move to Russia. Last season towards the end became a huge player for Copenhagen and started this season brilliantly.

surely wouldn’t cost too much considering his age

I’d take a chance on Faris Moumbagna, I know he’s had his injury problems but out of favour at Marseille and if he can rediscover his form from Bodo he looks like a great all round striker

I’d genuinely stay away from French players. Dembele worked with us but think it helped he was in England for a while. I think they become unsettled very quickly and don’t necessarily seem to want to stay for that long.

definitely think if we’re looking at the loan market you’re right with a Brighton or team like that. Although they don’t sell players cheap so

What’s really weird too is he started at the same team (bethlehem) as trusty a year apart

Realistically from that list only moumbanga, mughe and abdallah would be attainable. Last two not good enough so then from Brighton sima, Moran and potentially one of Sarmiento (possibly not) and enciso realistic too.

out of that I’d genuinely only say mounbanga and sima would improve us but not sure if they’d actually be that good. Which to me just shows how hard looking in the loan market will actually be if we want a starting winger.

sima without a doubt is the best from that list available

As long as we stick to our word with them, Dembele kicked up * until we did when Lyon bed. Ntcham went in a huff due to that under Rodgers, came back to life under Lenny a bit. Eddy done well even after but we our fans judge him because he was hating life.

Wasn’t just the French that though, we done it to Ajer. Promised a certain amount of seasons and allow a move if it was a good level club, and money suited. Leo Hjelde absolutely wouldn’t sign a new deal.

Young French players are expensive though, not a great market for us that.

Feel on the whole the Scandinavian countries, Asian market and also even British market the players have give us less hassle over the piece! You’re right it would be expensive and like I say they’ll be looking for their first move outta here.

We attract quality like them on the promise of 2/3 seasons here, and a big move mate. I’m happy with that model, it’s how we got Van Dijk that, it’s a big selling point for us.

But think the French youngster markets passed us by now, but it done well for us that.

Still think Thomas Jorgensen for centre mid would be a good pickup..

19 year old at Viborg in Denmark with a good mix of everything. Balance. Pace. Ball carrying. Box to box or Deep lying. Pressing. Good left peg..

Sverre Sandal in Norway as well. Cheap one to loan out but has the potential to develop in to a good fit for us. 22 year old, 6'4 centre mid with good feet..

Couldn’t sleep last night with the heat, spent the valuable time trying to look across each leagues for who might be potential possibilities to come in. Or even good enough.

across the world in the top flights of each nation it is incredibly rare to see strikers with 20+ goals now. Not sure what’s happening but a top striker is few and far between now. Then you add to that the best of the rest get snapped up by teams in better leagues with more ££ than us.

    from all the divisions the best options for what we need (someone who can bring play in, be versatile, and also score!) genuinely looked like our best options were as follows;

Munteanu already been posted and also linked with us of course. both versatile across the front three and id genuinely push the boat out and sign both players. Could also help them settle in easier. We have the money to do it. Do it.

Next two are lazy but I feel like as we approach deadline day that’s exactly how the club act. We’ve already been linked with both players before. Miovski we know what we’re getting. And fofana I feel will be the club looking to prem castaways and he’s the main player Chelsea want rid off so could get him for half the £15 mil they paid for him.

Next is one player we NEED to be enquiring about. Not sure if he’s been posted already but great numbers. Rijeka players usually succeed after they move away. Just started making Croatia teams too in a stacked midfield. IMG_5673.png

Wouldn't be surprised if we are linked with Buonanotte. We were before.
