Aye not one for this window (I think a lot of us would flip if our next target was a Dundee Midfielder) but if he keeps up his form come January, he's someone to keep an eye on 100%

That Ben Brannan at Killie is worth keeping an eye on, 18, wing back, scored 4 already this season.

A player I'd love is Skov Olsen from Wolfsburg. Don't think he's that much in the picture.

Not a player I know an awful lot about but given the fact we have picked up Jota and Bernardo on loan to buys from Benfica in recent years I think this could be a lazy one we go for.

Tiago Gouveia, 24 years old winger.
    Benfica youth product.
    Former Portugeuse underage international.
Bit part player in recent seasons
Right footed and seems to have played most of his football off the right
Seems technically good and pacey in his videos but his career to date is a little underwhelming.

Went on TransferMarkt because I'm bored at work and decided to look at players out of contract for our priority positions.

Decided that, the bare minimum required, is a back up LB, a CM, a LW, a RW and a Striker.

Back up left back, we could go for Luke Thomas, from Leicester. Still only 24 years old, Rodgers will know all about him. He started for Leicester in their game at the weekend and seemed to play pretty well. Decent defensively and going forward. Played a few games in the Premier League last season. Would be a good option to have. While I think it would be a difficult deal to do, with Tierney clearly going to be No. 1 left back, I think with the likelihood of KT getting injured at some point and the number of games we play, we could convince him to come up the road. Valued at £6m but could get him for a smaller fee, with only a year left on his deal.

For a Central Midfielder, we could go for Yacine Adli, from AC Milan. 25 year old who spent last season on loan at Fiorentina and performed well but the best spell of his career was at Bordeaux, which got him his move to Milan in the first place. He can also play in a number of positions in midfield, including as a DM, but he's very good on the ball. Very creative, very good on the ball. He had 5 goals and 7 assists for Fiorentina last season, in 35 games so he's very creative and gets himself in excellent positions. He's valued at £11m but again, with a year left on his deal at Milan, there would be a way of doing a deal there. Unlikely to spend that much on a midfielder with how stacked it is for now but I could see him replacing Hatate.

For Left Wing, Clement Bischoff, from Brondby. Already been loosely linked this season. Only 19 years old and would definitely need time to adapt to our style of play but he has a lot of promise. He has a goal and 2 assists in 7 so far this season but made his breakthrough last season, where he scored 2 and assisted 10 in 40. He's valued at £5m right now and likely that Brondby would be wanting around that mark for him and I probably would give them that. At 19 years old, making nearly 50 appearances for a good Brondby side and contributing more than enough, I think he would be worth it.

For Right Wing, I'd go big. I know he would be expensive and I know it would be a really difficult deal to do but Ben Doak is coming to the end of his contract at Liverpool and I think we should be all over it. Valued at £14m, would probably be a record transfer for us but at 19 years old, he would absolutely be worth it. Even at £14m, he has so much going for him. Had a pretty good 6 months on loan at Middlesbrough, where he scored 3 goals and assisted 7 in 24 games for them before getting a really bad Hamstring injury and missing the final 2 months of the season. He's quick, he's direct, he's an excellent dribbler. Can beat a man for fun and again, at 19 years old, we should be all over it. Unlikely as I can't see anyone at Celtic sanctioning a record breaking fee for a guy we lost for buttons but he's came through a very good youth system at Liverpool, managed to learn off some incredible right wingers in the likes of Mo Salah and he's Scotlands next huge thing. Time to get him back up the road.

For Striker, Myron Boadu, who plays for Monaco. Was part of the Alkmaar team a few years ago, who had ridiculous talent (Wijndal, Stengs, Koopmeiners). Made the move over to France and got a really bad injury that kept him out for nearly a year. Then, struggled to make an impact there. Went on loan to Twente for 6 months and scored 3 goals in 11 games. Then, went back to Monaco that summer and ended up on loan at Bochum, in the Bundesliga, where he had a pretty successful season, albeit he missed a third of it with injuries. Played 20 times for them, scoring 9 goals and grabbing an assist. Injuries are a problem for him but, valued at £7m and he's still only 24 years old, we could do a lot worse than him. Was meant to be the next big thing when he left Alkmaar. Again, could maybe do a deal with Monaco to get him for less than the £7m as they've been loaning him out the last 18 months and recruited heavily up front since he arrived.

A few others worth a look.

Krepin Diatta, 26 now but was once very highly rated winger. He can also play right wing back as despite his small size, he works hard off the ball, competes well in duels and presses well. He is rapid and a good dribbler. At Monaco he has fallen out of favour but was once good enough for them to pay €16m for him. We could probably get him for a low fee due to him being surplus to requirements at Monaco. He seems like the type of winger Rodgers could get a lot out of. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9P-j6Kov88I&pp=ygUNa3JlcGluIGRpYXR0YQ==

Another 26 year old right winger worth a look is Silas at Stuttgart. He had a falling out there last year and went on loan to Red Star. Has top league experience and CL too, would be a good option for right wing likely affordable.

Back to the future, Patrick Roberts, now 28 years old but was good for Sunderland last year however, they have heavily invested in players this summer including Taibi who is a winger so not sure how involved Roberts will be. I would probably take him.

Yussuf Demir, at Galatasaray now but this guy was a wonder kid on loan at Barca a few years back but has struggled since. He is still only 22, but could be worth a look as a player with talent. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FQ5ag88P0fM&pp=ygULeXVzdWYgZGVtaXI=

LW/AM Anis Mehmeti at Bristol City got 12 goals last season in the Championship and has one year left on his deal.

Oscar Aranda, of Famaliciao, 23 years old left winger who can also cover centre forward and in his last year of his deal. He looks to have some amount of technical ability and is also got some really good physical attributes in that he looks to have good acceleration and strength to hold players off.

Parfait Guiagon, 24 year old left winger at RCSC, who has really strong underlying numbers for a winger in terms of successful dribbles and chance creation. He is also decent off the ball for a small winger. Given what they sold Zorgane for he is probably £3m tops.

Striker, Kaly Sene of Lausanne Sport is off to a flier this year 6 games 6 goals. One year left on his deal, seems to press well collected a decent number of assists last year and scored against all the better teams in Switzerland. Ex Juve youth too. Very athletic player that is good at pressing the opposition and winning it back in the final third.

For either full back and can play further forward Toral Bayramov of Qarabag. Despite only being 24 he is very experienced and a real attacking threat from full back. For a cheap fee he would be an excellent back up to Tierney and has plenty of Europa league and international experience.

With Salzburg out the champions league qualifiers we should go after Dorgeles Nene RW 22 yrs old. 13 gls 5 assists in 30 games last season. Valued at 5 million.

Also Dynamo Kyiv are out. Vladyslav Vanat would he a great signing. CF 23 yrs old 17 gls in 28 games last season. Double figures the last 3 seasons. Valued at 13 million but could be cheaper with no champions league for them now.

I almost never go on this thread, but was bored and took a look. That Dorgeles Nene looks perfect: two-footed and comfortable on both wings. Think that valuation is a bit low, though.

I never go on this thread either, but considering the club seemed to struggle to find talent, i thought what is the average fan finding.

Ironically i was chatting yesterday about value. That being the key term floated. And players going into their last year of contract represent value. And low and behold we have numerous posters putting forward serious quality suggestions.

So if these guys can do it on their lunch break while does our club struggle to get them over the line

Vanat would be an incredible signing but I’d imagine he’s way outta reach for us. His next step will be a top 5 league. Will see us as a sideways move id imagine.

also don’t think nene would come as cheap as that. Red bull will know they can get more for their players usually and a £7m+ at minimum offer would be peanuts to an English team or other top division team

Aye your right enough I had another look and he's valued at closer to 12 million euros. Still within our reach though

Says Sunderland asked about him back in June but didn't want to pay the 15 million asking price.

We should be looking at Willem Geubbels at St Gallen. A soon to be 24 year old striker, he as once highly thought of in France but has taken a little longer to mature. He has everything you would want in a striker, big, quick, good touch, can finish and is a threat at set pieces.

Vanat? If so yeah exactly we won’t pay £15 mil for anyone. Sunderland probably saw that as a huge risk when they need someone to stay in the prem! He’ll end up at a Portuguese team I reckon, who’ll definitely pay that or if not more.

Rapid were getting €9m for Jansson and that sort of pricetag sent shivers down the spines of Nicholson and Lawwell. Can't see us getting any Salzburg player for a fee our board deem appropriate. If we do get two wingers in then it will be a loan and some project type signing.
