Pretty much what I was meaning. I wouldn't categorise it as "for the sake of it" but that's splitting hairs now you've explained it.

There's always 2 sides to the story though and being intransigent has a cost that's seldom worth paying. Almost always where everything isn't in your control.

We don't know the details here and I did think Rodgers played his part in the first seasons window so really hope there is a breakthrough or it's going to be a long season if both sides can't find a way to work together.

None of the above means I don't think the money men don't share a good deal/majority of the blame.

I don't wholly agree with that as do think Rodgers wanted targets that weren't or couldn't be delivered. But we've been through that conversation before, I know you see it differently.

Who is identifying/deciding the signings? Is it a mix of Rodgers and the DoF/Board, or someone else? It feels like there no consistency or direction in building the squad since Rodgers came back.

Iv always said Rodgers is a bit option A or nothing. Sort of links up with the line given of "targets identified and not available"

Ofcourse not available means we're cheap * and won't pay the asking. Rodgers doesn't want the cheap B/C option. That's where the disconnect is.

As a support we need to back Rodgers as loud as we can this season.

Rodgers is not the issue here

Of course we can question and debate his eye for a player, specially a defender, but he's not the issue.

He's been successful every single season he has been here and every season been held back by the club as well.

He left the first time after the debacle of the McGinn summer (not just that transfer but many more).
Ange left after PL returned in power and saw the writing on the wall. First season with McKay he was free to do what he needed to do, then it all got curtailed and he looked to get out.

Deila was given his asst manager (heck deila was meant to be an assistant himself) and allowed the club to sign players for him, limited with what he could do by a board playing games.

Lennon left the first time citing no ambition from the club.

Even MON knew time was up and the purse strings were being tightened when this board first came in to play. Yea there was other reasons to MON leaving as well, but there was a few reasons, not just one.

Managers after managers, season after season. Board is to blame.

Back Rodgers as loud as we can! He isn't the issue in the big pitcure regardless of his own flaws, he isn't the man * us

Sums up my feelings on the current fiasco too mate, the board are tying the manager hands and it's * infuriating. Back the guy ffs, he's given us some of the most successful times in our history and deserves so much better than being the only face fronting the club while the culprits hide in the boardroom.
