Brendan Rodgers Discussion Thread

Really wouldn’t be surprised at all if Kennedy does the press conference today. It really depends what point Rodgers wants to make.

 

Just don't think there's a chance he's here next season. I wouldn't blame him either. Why the * would you hang about if you've won countless trophies, made us much less of a laughing stock in Europe, and still have to "convince" the board to spend money to replace our best striker and best right winger in years?

Fully expecting a stinking season where we make CL football but leave it red faced, struggle domestically and maybe win the league if the huns are pish again, as opposed to us being convincing. Rodgers will leave and no doubt it'll be one of Shaun Maloney, Scott Brown Damien Duff taking the reigns. If not a combination of all 3.

 

What’s the odds of him leaving for Leicester

 

Honestly wouldn't blame him if he did at this point haha.

 

It worries me that last summer we hung on all window and overpaid for Idah because he's the player Rodgers wanted and didn't go for any other striekrs. I do wonder sometimes if Rodgers hasn't been knocking back decent targets, because they're 'club' signings and not overpriced crap from down south that he likes, it's not like the players we're being linked with are all * and that's just the few the media here are getting wind of, our scouting itself doesn't appear to be bad.

No signings imminent is a joke we all know we need at least 2 wingers should be doing all we can to put pressure on the club to get a squad that is better than we had last season

 

He doesn’t seem happy. The constant ‘the board will look for value’. I think it’s clear they aren’t on the same page

 

Try so hard not to get annoyed but jesus christ do they not know we've got a title to defend and a CL playoff coming up

 

No idea why he's sticking around. Wonder if he's at the stage he doesn't give a * anymore as well.

 

Another very good interview by BR. Particularly when he refused to answer the question why we hadn’t signed anyone. That was more telling than any other bit for me.
