Doubtful but hopefully being told we should be more like the huns transfer wise and getting laughed at by Go Ahead Eagles chairman stirs some kind of prideful response like when they put us out the cup under Deila, won't hold my breath tho.

Just came back into my head how we conducted a 6 months search for a new head of recruitment to just appoint Lawwell senior as a non exec director and then hired his son as the head of recruitment . And burst out laughing we are so unserious, how they’ve fluked this level of success is nothing short of miracale

If the jersey shouldn’t shrink to fit a Celtic player, neither should the suit to fit the board.

This record has played over too many times now and the common denominator is Peter Lawell. It’s time DD got a grip and instilled some standards or handed over the reigns to someone who is willing to. The board are under performing and the club is being made a mockery of and not for the first time.

A lot of it down to the Huns failing to get their house in order let's be honest.

We've had fantastic success and to be that consistent is still an achievement, but for much of the past 15 years have had very little serious competition. So most times we * up or didn't qualify for the UCL haven't been severely punished.

The only thing that would destroy the board is their names ended up on the Epstein list.

You can guarantee the money will find a way out of our bank account and into the shareholders pockets if there is a change of ownership down the track. Effectively the money that is there will never serve the club any actual use, the shareholders are ringfencing for themselves to take out some day.

Looking at it from a purely business perspective I don’t think they can get away with it through that lens either.

I work with lots of large corporates and very few, successful companies run with such consistently significant cash balances (relative to turnover). Rather, cash is generally better put to use for growth capex and the purchase of appreciating assets.

The majority of businesses I see that run with large cash balances sitting in bank accounts are generally very conservative and non innovative family businesses. They tend to lack urgency or openness to grow any further and don’t derive the benefits of utilising leverage to grow (I.e. debt).

We are firmly operated in the ‘family business’ zone. It’s nice but really never going to reach anywhere near the potential it should do.

Even off the football pitch we should be looking to do so much more. Everything from commercial relationships with Boston Celtics Ala PSG/Jordan to having a ticketing market place to sell your seat at CP or selling our stadium space to genuinely good food stalls rather than the chip van slop we see. Tender it out

We’re old school and that’s no good I’m afraid.

If only more would do this

It's the only way they'll learn.

They refuse to fund the squad to participate in Europe to a fair level, then fans should refuse to fund it for these fat *.

Don't have a ST anymore, but won't be spending hundreds on kits either. I could always e-mail the Celtic shop, offering £25 for their £75 top.

They might give me a job though.

Those comments from the Dutch team director is * embarrassing it's like we are like a old jaky coming into a cafe asking for a cup of tea but don't seem to have enough money and offering a few pennies more to get that tea and along comes the sevco * with his nice suit and saying a big breakfast and a cappuccino here's a £20 and keep the change * embarrassing

Celtic fans are saying we are still to sign a replacement for Kyogo, you can guarantee the board are saying 'have you not noticed we signed Yamada'. Yamada is Kyogos replacement in the eyes of the board and Rodgers has seriously had enough of it. Its the reason he put Kenny on instead of Yamada on Sunday against st mirren, it was a * you to the board. Our board is an embarrassment and the main culprit is not Lawell or Michael MacDonald its Desmond, he is calling the shots and it is him that sanctions the transfers and the bids. Its a huge mess, we have left it all too late again and will desperately pay over the odds for the scraps that are left at the very end of the transfer window, mismanagement on a grand scale.
