Hayato Inamura

  1. Aye home to Falkirk & Livi imagine we’ll get a good look at him there.

Not sure about Frame, he was close to the starting 11 the other season with a cameo as well, looked to have something about him.

  2. Trouble will be getting him out on loan with the amount of duds we have let go out on loan

  3. Inamura has earned his place in the squad imo. A loan would be stupid

  4. He hasn't played a competitive game yet though..

Think we can only have a look then, early signs are great ..

  5. No but the pre season games are to gain finess and show what you got, and he was one of the best players.

  6. Still, I want to see him up against the physicality in our league, to be confident he could deputise for a prolonged KT absence..

  7. Thats a very fair point. The initial signs actually do look promising though that he might be worth keeping as Tierney's backup at left back which is certainly not what I thought at all when we originally signed him.

Inamura has played Ajax, Al-Ahli and Newcastle. 3 teams better than anyone he’s gonna face domestically. If he can perform as he has against them playing against st mirren and Falkirk will be an absolute doddle

  8. Find out soon hopefully.

  9. Always difficult to read too much into pre-season matches..Newcastle were miles off it for example..

Definitely need to see how he goes before window shuts..

I do really like him so far tho.

  10. To be fair for the past 5 years we had a guy playing left back who couldn't cope with the physicality of the league

  11. The “physicality” in our league is way overhyped. Only players that are usually physical are the odd CF for the lower end teams. Usually 1 CM and then most times both centre half’s.

Taylor played on the wing so more often than not never really encountered anyone that physical or strong.

what he did lack is speed which our league doesn’t have much of anyway so he coped completely fine domestically.

Europe is where everyone is powerful, athletic and fast. And that’s where ALL our players get found out

  12. Your absolutely spot on and we will all find out soon enough I think if indeed he is ready to stay as part of the seasons squad behind Tierney in that left back slot. What has surprised me is how optimistic I am about his ability to come in and do a solid job for us. I thought when he was first signed he was a center back and I was thinking what on earth are we doing here.

  14. Would have thought he would have been on the bench today

  15. Strange. Maybe a knock

  16. There’s no need for Shin and Kenny to be on the bench so to that end it is a strange one if he’s not carrying a knock.

  17. With more links to left-sided defenders..

We'll need to get a good loan for him..

  18. Would love to know what the situation is here.

Maybe its my bias for Japanese players but he really did seem a talent during preseason, not like when guys like Killen were scoring for fun. He seemed like he knew how to ping a pass almost Hatate-esq which would have been a real benefit to have two players looking to ping attacking passes about, wasn't scared to get stuck into tackles etc... essentially looked perfect to play rotation with KT

  19. If he’s to go out on loan I’d say Falkirk or Hibs could be a good option, a team that at least tries to play decent football from the back where can build confidence and experience in the league.

Still think he’d be absolutely fine for us though in the squad.
