  1. RIP Hulkster, a childhood hero sadly gone.

  2. A whole generation of superstars have passed away recently, scary stuff.

  3. So sad, when I did watch it he was brilliant viewing.

  4. No doubt there will be a period of kissing this guys * for a while... and then if anyone thinks the shady crap that has come out about Hulk Hogan during his life was the worst of it, that there will be a lot more to come in due course.

  6. Didn't give a * about that as a kid. He was quality and my favourite wrestler at the time. Still got my hulk hogan shaped pillow :56;

  7. This is a song a comedian did a couple of years ago.

    I've said it a few times but check out OSW Reviews on YouTube they are Irish lads and absolutely brilliant content.

  8. Never really understood why people outside of America liked Hogan. Ultimate Warrior, Savage and Hart were far far cooler.

  9. Probably because I was about 5 and can only remember mental moustache, big muscles and doing roars n * :56:

  10. True, definitely in the case of Savage and Hart anyway. But Hogan had cooler music.

  11. Did he *. Real American was jingoistic *. Wasn't even written for him, written for the US express

  12. It was a classic. Should probably replace the Star Spangled Banner.

    Didnt know that about US Express :56:

  13. He was a * no question of that. But a mega legend of wrestling. Two fond memories as a lad, when he was in a tag team with Mr T and his appearance in Rocky 3.

    When we were younger we did not know what he was like away from wrestling but that he was a mega legend of wrestling.

    Unreal doc on Netflix is absolutely brilliant, even for causals and non-fans.

  14. Don't know who on here still watches or follows wrestling. I'm very in and out but decided to watch both nights of Summerslam over the weekend.

    What I hate about these PPV events or "PLE" events as they call them now - there's literally no backstage interaction/segments or any further story building during the events now. I remember back when I was a wee boy growing up maybe around 2005 or so, you would tune into a Backlash, Judgement Day, Summerslam etc and there would be segments in between matches. Backstage interviews with superstars competing later in the night, GM segments, just stuff to build stories further. Sometimes they would even throw together a match that wasn't on the card initially as a nice surprise.

    Now it's just match after match with nothing in between. It's so linear and formulaic now. Finding them a bit boring. They have so much talent and superstars that don't get used during these PLE events and they could easily be added for additional content in between matches, but there's nothing.

    Just takes away from the product a bit for me. Used to love the unpredictability back in the day. Can't say the same now.
