On Dessers, his conversion rate is awful, but he also works on scraps from players worse than ours. He also seems to get on the end of so much even when he often fluffs his lines. Its why his goal record is good despite missing so many. And if nothing else he runs himself flat and puts himself about - Martin even called him out as the only player doing that against Motherwell.

Idah doesnt even do that. Dessers is considered too * for Rangers but Id swap him for Idah in a second

Exactly this. He should never, ever have had 9 million spent on him. Everyone with an iota of football nous knew that when we were pursuing him. By all accounts it was our completely useless board/transfer negotiators that left us having to pay that to get him in.

I was all for us keeping him as 2nd and possibly 3rd striker. The weight of first striker for Celtic (and possibly lower level teams) is just too much for him. He looks stoned half the time. Just doesn't have the chops sadly.

I think at least to some extent it’s a confidence issue. You could see him snatching at chances today for example.

I’m not saying he’s the answer or I don’t have issues with him, but as a support we are spiralling here. It’s turning into an absolute pile-on.

I maintain he’s no where near as bad as made out.

Should have scored a few today, clearly confidence is in the gutter, his price tag will always be brought up all the time.

Is he going to take us forward and bang in a * load of goals? Not so sure.

He plays like he's wearing stilts.

He done one great pass to Johnstone today and I can only assume it's because he was trying to trap the ball

It's not the miss that irritates me most, it's that he doesn't anticipate crosses/cross shots consistently. I had the same criticism of Oh.

Couple times today a great ball was flashed across and he was completely on his heels. Happens a lot.

Yang was the same at the back post. The type of ball that Jota or Abada were amazing at getting on the end of. Kyogo too. What a downgrade at the moment.

What an utterly predictable performance from him today.

Was just a standard Idah performance, it's not inconsistency or lack of confidence, this is him the majority of the time, lack of awareness, poor touch, regularly caught on his heels not anticipating play. He ran riot agaisnt killie once though.

You can’t be a confidence player and start for Celtic. Ice cold you miss one chance you forget about it and go again.

Jota Kyogo Abada to Maeda Idah Yang.

    An awful drop off.

Maeda looks wasted out wide compared to his influence through the middle. He's the only one with the required level that we need up top.

I'd it were up to me, we'd sell Yang, Tilio, Kenny, and Idah and have Maeda, Yamada, Osmand, Jota, Forrest and sign two wingers and another striker.

We need goals and threat. The four I'd sell don't bring that.

The quickest he ran was when the board was going up to sub him off. He was already running over before his number went up as well.

    * Abada. But agree with Jota-Kyogo-Kuhn which was a possibility. Sure we can argue that Kyogo lost it in the end but he would outperform Idah in a wheelchair

Could tell he was feeling the pressure from the crowd. Looks like a player without any confidence.

IV not been convinced even on loan I didn't think he had it and almost 2 years later I think he's worse, obviously his confidence is low and my hope is he will improve but I'm not expecting much more from him, a striker is very much needed maybe even 2
