He’s a brilliant captain for us and I’ve yet to see him lose any of his quality. I think any other kind of cdm we could realistically sign in his place would mean going far backwards because he has so much to his game that dictates play.

I know we've not been amazing but you can see with a better player at right wing and a better striker that we would be a far better side than last season. Plenty of threat down the left and look more settled in the middle of the park but we're not threatening enough down the right and upfront.

Hopefully Yamada can show something.

Started well but went a bit flat. KT looking decent; Maeda quiet-ish by his standards; Nygren looks okay; Idah has showed a bit more aggression but is never the answer; and Yang is just Yang :/
