Didn't say you did, but that doesn't make that list accurate. Can maybe see why you mention a few but the majority are just no chance. Also, picking fights and taking the occasional booking has its place too.

O'Neils teams didn't have many/any players without that attribute.

I can think of examples of every one of those players I mentioned playing with aggression. They’re all winners in part because of their controlled aggression on the pitch.

Ok. Still not sure about the full list but can see what you mean for Johnston, Tierney, CCV and Maeda in that list at least.

The original comment wasn't about controlled aggression though but aggression. Other than Maeda and Tierney, who do show that on occasions there's few others on that list that have a bit of bite or intimidate other players. Brown, Bobo and Aitken are prime examples of players who had aggression. Sutton and Hartson too.

Teams genuinely full of good guys but that's got it's downside. The likes of Idah and Trusty are prime examples of players who need it. Idah showed a glimpse that Kilmarnock game but not really seen it since.

Probably better for him. Full season 40+ games somewhere else rather than another season with no improvement here

Should be the back up CB

Brendan has talked him up enough over the last few months

Brendan has talked him up for the last 3 years and then goes and signs a Man City kid on loan for the exact same role. Don’t trust a word he says to be honest. Heard it many a time about youth prospects then we never see them again.

for Murray’s best interests a loan to get consistent game time would be better

If it wasn’t for his injury Dane would have been on the bench against the huns

Not so sure. He has had periods throughout the season he’s been injury free and the only time he got dropped in? Against Villa and looked *. Not sure that’s Rodgers looking out for him to be fair.

he talks him up loads and obviously thinks he’s a prospect but just don’t understand his thought process around then signing another young centre half. Unless one of CCV, Trusty, scales are off then it’ll make more sense

    Brendan said it in April

Brendan Rodgers says Dane Murray was in contention to start Celtic's game against Rangers a few weeks ago.

The Parkhead side eventually faltered to a 3-2 defeat to their fierce city rivals.

Nicolas Raskin, Mohamed Diomande and Hamza Igamane all scored for Barry Ferguson's men.

While the post-match headlines focused on Rangers' first win in Glasgow's east end in almost half a decade, before kick-off, much of the limelight shone on Rodgers' team selection.

Indeed, fringe central defender Maik Nawrocki was brought in from the cold to start, with Auston Trustyunexpectedly injured.

Recently, however, Rodgers revealed that Murray was initially due to play before he pulled up the day before the game: "Dane Murray was someone I was looking at for the Rangers game and playing," he said.

"The day before the game, he had a wee sort of moment with his knee. So, we're just assessing that and looking at that.

Still makes no sense. Not good enough to play against a st Johnstone, Dundee etc. but is to play against rangers? And like I say Aston Villa. So strange!

Agree, Who do you think we should try get him out to? Just can’t see a top 6 team wanting to take him ahead of their own youngsters or players

Someone like Dundee or Falkirk would be ideal
