Just seen the clips there. He’s being pretty clear to be honest.

I can see him walking this season.

Not for me always says we are trying but im happy with squad and developing players, I never feel he pushes hard enough to bring experienced first team into the squad. We have brought in millions we should be signing at least 2 players of this calibre.

Yeah I think if a good opportunity comes up he’ll walk and say it’s because he was made promises that were reneged on.

As a club, Celtic need to be extremely careful here. Brendan's comments are nothing short of alarming. We're very lucky to have Brendan and he couldn't be any clearer with his comments today. Show some ambition and he's happy to stay. That shouldn't even be a question at a club the size of Celtic. I could understand if we were skint or have financial issues to worry about but to be in the state we're in and have this utter complacency seeping down from the top is completely unacceptable.

We as fans really need to rally behind Brendan now. We need to make it clear as a fan base that our view for the future aligns with Brendan and put the pressure on them to move in this direction. If Brendan walks after this we'll complete move backwards as a club, of that there is no doubt. We won't get a manger of his calibre in the door and the board certainly won't financially back someone else to rebuild the team. If we get it wrong this season, we could suffer the effects for years to come.

Rodgers clearly fed up with the lack of ambition shown by the Board, it's over to them now, back the manager or lose him and the supporters.

Such a clever statement from him today.

So essentially if he goes now at end of the season it's because the board don't want to progress the club forward or match his ambition.

Think we all think that's the case anyway but while he's here he can't fully come out and say it but that comment today will speak volumes at end of the season and possibly even shake that auld * Desmond to wake up

Think he'll see the season out regardless. He obviously came back to address the way he left last time. Regardless of the circumstances if he leaves before the 3 years he's * that.

Don't see him going longer than 3 seasons now though. * knows what the board, Desmond and others are playing at.

I don’t know man. I still criticise him for how he left last time but if he walks early this season I wouldn’t blame him, especially if he walked out without a job to go to. He’s being very clear and the support completely agree with him.

If I was him I’d make an ultimatum to Desmond that he will walk if he’s not happy with the signings over the next few weeks. I think that’s reasonable to be honest.

It’s not as if anyone’s asking for the impossible here. A couple of decent signings to fill known gaps in the squad.

Ange has always said he will never go back to a club. A hoped Brendan would walk today to get it up them!

Wasn't particularly bothered when he went last time as the football was tedious but it'll be a failure for him if he does the same again given what he's said about why he came back.

If he does do it this time I'll be raging or not care depending on how entertaining the football is I'd expect. Wouldn't be raging at him either way though more at the club and the loss of the opportunity to kick us up another level.

We really are our own worst enemy sometimes.

I'll honestly be amazed if Ange comes back here at this point. I don't rule it out in future seasons if he doesn't have success in his next job; but he'd be mad to come back now. IMO he only has a short window to turn that EL win into a second chance in one of the top 5 leagues.

I'd love to be wrong about that. It would be amazing to have Ange back.

    He'll definitely do this season..

We'll find out by September 1st if the board want to keep him for longer..

  19. If Rodgers is still Celtic manager by January I'll be shocked.

He knows how unique the situation is here, coming out with that isn't something you could say at most clubs because they'd round up against the manager for being an egotistical *.

But here, he knows if he says that of stuff now, when it's clear fans are also and have been for years, tired of this board. Then this time round the fans are with him and effectively we have a Covid season conflict between the fans and the club boiling up under the surface.

Unless we suddenly make significant strides at RW, maybe another midfielder to help Cal he's off and fans will rage

I'm sure Ange left for the same lack of ambition from the board.

I keep going back to the press conference at Spurs start of last season when he was asked about the champions league and he said something along the lines of its good to qualify but if you're never going to try and improve then what's the point.
