I still think we'll get the players in that we need, and the manager will sign a contract extension, the mood can change very quickly. :41:

Can we change status from 'panic' to 'miracle required'

If we win our games in August and get another couple of good signings in the door I think the rumblings will start to subside.

A couple of bad results though and I think Rodgers will take out the grenade launcher and the fans will be demanding arses kicked. A loss in ibrox or failure to win the CL tie and things will get really ugly fast.

Just watched the press conference on YouTube he's asked "Do you feel Michael and Dermot's ambition matches your own?"

The biggest tap in is to say yes but he doesn't he gave a proper politician's answer which is worrying

Why even bother bringing him back.

    Just makes no sense.

Tbh mate even if we do get the players and spend, things need to change. Because you know they'll only have done it due to mass pressure.

We've been here before. We might sign players and will start winning games due to the nature of the league we are in, and the board then don't get as much flak.

I'm very much in the camp that it needs to continue as long as possible to force change. Whatever way we can.

Genuinely wouldn’t surprise me if Desmond brought him back to spite some fans and show who was in charge.

We all know his quality as a manager and so you suspect it’s that but something gnawing away at me when it comes to Desmond and the way he views certain elements of the support, mainly the ultra groups: you couldn’t have picked a more polarising figure than Rodgers, to be honest.

Getting players in or not we will probable still win the league(at least thats how the board see it)and thats the problem.

We really only have the hun to worry about and event then they seem to shot themselves in the foot when ever they have the chance to pull away from us,and with that in mind when it comes to trans fares the board seem happy to keep the same model they have used for years.

As long as we make CL football and get the financial rewards its brings the board are happy,it wont change and we shouldnt be surprised when we dont spend money in the trans fare market.

Ye its a risk for them and one day they will pay for the lack of investment but as things stand its working for them so its difficult to see them splashing the cash anytime soon.

None of us really know how good the Huns are now under their new management. Instead of risking it, we should be building a team good enough to win regardless of what they do. We have enough money to do that.

Our board clearly don't have a * clue what they're doing. The phrase that sticks out is that we're run like a bowling club. That is kind of what it feels like. Stuffy and stuck in the past - no real idea of what is out there in the World and not wanting to know either.

    * I just just wish we had modern football people in positions of real power who could see the possibilities we have in front of us if we had some small amount of ambition.

This feels like the 5th or 6th window in a row where I start to lose my * at our self-destructive inaction. There needs to be concerted action from the fans to show the board they're not wanted.

I just don't know who would replace them - this is the worrying part, as they will not change. They think they're right in the way they run things.

A ballache having to sit through this again but hopefully Rodgers interview works to get things moving and we end getting some quality in.

A few bad results in August though and I think patience will be thin on the ground.

Yup it’s infuriating that we go from window to window without addressing it.

The issue we have is that if 15,000 people decide they’re not renewing there season tickets due to the board being tight then there’s another 15,000 waiting on the wings to take them , also shirt sales will always be high so the board will never be hit hard in the pocket so can continue to run it as they see ,

As said before I think rangers have recruited fairly well and we are sleeping at the wheel , they didn’t look to good against a panathanikos but tbf it’s a fairly new team but I don’t see them being as bad as last year, on current signings Moore and gassama walk into our squad and at least one of them start , that’s the worrying thing.

when rodgers talks about the 3/4 year cycle then that surely means starting 11 aswell , other than Kuhn we have got rid of dross that we would be expecting to get rid off bar Greg Taylor and possibly nawrocki.

we’re starting a season with a team probably not any better than the team that lost to Aberdeen in the final which is worrying

So there's no other signings close..... and BR and certain board members are in disagreement over what's needed and to to be spent. Theres an impasse and the manager is being clear and polite about what he wants.

The board, we're happy as is.

What will give this month, will it give?! What farcical, shambolic * show this is. Infuriating and depressing in equal measures.

Its just crazy that this stuff isnt all hammered out well before the window even opens, never mind by the season opener.

They will have had to have a sit down to discuss recruitment at some point. Surely there is an understanding at that point of budgets, what available to spend and so forth.

Surely when Rodgers is told Kuhn is sold, what percentage of that money is being made available.

The lack of any kind of transparency and communication from the board to the point it reaches these kind of interviews a day before the season kicks off is hard to understand.

That’s the part I really don’t get, how anyone who has been involved in football and running a football club for as long as these people have can genuinely believe this squad is strong enough.

There is basically next to no forward options at all and certainly no options to rotate key players with European midweek football regardless if we win the qualifier or not.

The full attitude of keeping the money for a rainy day stinks and is a sure fire way to end up ensuring we don’t get the CL money. In reality we have the resources to put the odds of us winning that qualifier firmly in our favour.

Those feckers on the board know how to suck the life out of our fans. We should all be excited for the start of the new season and the unfurling of the flag but here we are again, fecking raging with the board for their annual tight fisted bargain basement * negotiations to sign players and our manager let down by the money men and likely to abandon ship. Absolute * show
