    I stand corrected on Copenhagen.

Loan to buys are different though. PSV had an option on Malacia and one on Kovar this season.

We were never going to spend big money on a centre back, as long as the money gets spent on wingers I don’t mind this too much. We always go back into the loan market anyway.

    Marky boy on his Substack

It comes as Celts agreed a loan move of their own with Manchester City for Jahmai Simpson-Pusey.
The youngster should join up at Lennoxtown with his new teammates before their Champions League qualifier.

Im surprised people don't seem that happy with him coming in, we've needed a defender who brings the ball out better and he must have a lot of quality to make 6 appearances for Man City. Even was named the POTY in the PL2 last season so be hard to stand out as a centre-back unless you were ripping the pish out * every week really.

Curtis Jones, Liam Delap and James McAtee were previous winners, guys who probably would cost £25-40million.

I don't think it's anything against the lad as such. More about our lack of planning as a club. This time next year we'll be back to square one.

    Watched some footage. He's rapid.

Played a lot on the left side as well, seems comfortable with both feet. Think he's also played as a CDM.

Ill get right behind him as any other player that signs.....But if this is a Rodgers Signing and it goes * up yet again....Serious questions need to also be asked of his and the scouting staffs ability.

We need more players in and i want a big name or 2 with that....Not Project signings or more loans.

We have the money....Give it to him.....If he * it up then its on him....If he doesnt he will make us a lot of money and bring more success of which he states he wants

See, I think as a player he looks perfect for us, looks absolutely rapid, strong and good with the ball.

Im just never a fan of straight loans, and if this boy has a good season there's 0% chance we keep him past this season.

If we sign two wingers and one other player on permanent deals alongside him, id be fine with this, its just having a straight loan after weeks of absolutely nothing from a club we clearly have connections with is just a bit depressing.

    Really?

We’re * loaded and we’ve fannied about for weeks, only to get the begging bowl out again and loan a kid with next to no senior experience.

If he is our only centre back signing it’s a * disgrace.

I’m sure he’ll do a good job for a season. Always frustrating to lose a good player like that though. Just glad we’ve at least addressed the CB situation. We badly need 2 wingers and a striker now.

Players with hardly any experience have done well here before though Denayer, Frimpong, Roberts, Edouard and more even if you include guys who'd only played 50/60 games like Ajer, O'Riley, Jota, Dembele.

If you are good it doesn't really matter. If you've played 5, 50 or 200 games.

It’s just such a meh signing. Pointless for a year, really. Despise the idea of signing these players with absolutely no chance to get them permanently.

If it was a player that was levels above what we had in a position, in the prime of their career; then aye. Like a Robbie Keane or a Craig Bellamy but is he really going to oust CCV? I doubt it. He’s right footed so surely won’t be playing as LCB, given Rodgers wants to play with a left footed centre back in that position. So, he’s coming up here to play second fiddle to CCV.

Just so pointless in my opinion:

The negativity will stay if we do nothing more this window.
If we produce 2 wingers, a striker and a CDM - well all be happy!

    That’s not even the point.

We’re in a position where we don’t need to be loaning 19 year olds in a crucial position that we’ve needed to strengthen for months.

Smacks of penny pinching and sheer laziness.

Go out and sign an upgrade on Trusty and Scales. It isn’t difficult.

That wont interest us. We don't seem to know what a CDM is or what they do

But if we can get 1 season out of a quality player who's better than guys we should sign then we should be doing that as well.

Imagine for example turning down Cole Palmer to sign Palma or whatever.

    You’re stretching a bit there.

Like I said, it’s laziness again.

Well we don't know how good he is but the signs are probably pretty good to win POTY in a decent level of League and play a few games, 3 starts for Man City and if true Strasbourg also wanted him who are likely to finish top 4-6 in the French League.

Not as if we are loaning in Nat Phillips as a back-up player. This guys probably meant to be one of our best players.
