It does sound impressive and that was largely my point, he’d shown a bit but not enough to be the counted on.

And your second point is the main thing I was trying to say, he showed something that could be moulded but not enough for us to mould that through what he was doing for us. We don’t have that patience, especially in his position.

The 19 appearances that you’ve mentioned is exactly what I did to explain that point. I’d argue against plenty though, at other teams he could get 20 starts, 90 minutes, a full season even. And he’d deliver enough for that to be ok. Not for us though. He had something to develop, just not at us.

I think what’s happened since leaving us shows that as well. He was sporadic at us, much like a more promising sort of version of what we’ve seen of Yang. I liked him, I didn’t have a single complaint about how he turned out here for us though. I don’t agree the rest of that is off topic though, it’s exactly why he wasn’t ever going to develop here. Both because the level he was at, and what is required to make it here. We all complain like * about our record of developing youngsters, but rarely acknowledge that we rarely do it just because of that. Oh’s very along those lines, even with being slightly older than the usual ‘youngsters’ that we talk about with that. To do it, that run of 19 games he needed to show it because that’s when we relied on him. He didn’t, and we replaced him

@Callum McGregor I broke it down stat wise replying to someone else, fair points. Went further into it my next comment.

I’ll sum it up with seemed like he could be decent, wasn’t good enough to be that here when he got the chance, and selling him and him looking like he has isn’t surprising but doesn’t reflect on him here or how we handled him at all.

So we agree he wasn't good enough. Fair enough.

Far worse, decent business all round for me, played a part done ok, sold for profit, getting more to come by the looks of it due to the sell on.

Compared to an Ajeti, it’s flawless that.
