Celtic's 2025/26 Summer transfer window: Stage: Pitchforks

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Sgt Neppers*, Mar 16, 2025.

  1. Don't think we (the club) has a clue either.

  2. I don't think Hendry is that on the ball tbh.

The bajcetic thing seemed dodgy as * from the start anyway. Balikwisha is just being regurgitated everyday because they don't have much else to report on.

The Breum stuff is a riddy. Honestly embarrassing.

  3. That isn't hard to believe. And when you buy players after protracted negotiations over months or take until the final day of the window to conclude a transfer, you're more than likely going to overpay as selling teams don't have time to sign a replacement.

  4. Couple of bad results next month and the mood will become pretty sour.

Strange place to be coming off a decent showing in Europe, a league title and sitting on a large pile of cash.

At an absolute minimum, we could have got Idah more cheaply if we'd had a clause in the original loan deal. At that point, Idah was warming their bench and clearly had no future there. If we'd put in a £5 million buy clause, I imagine they'd have bitten our hand off. Instead, we let him have a really successful loan spell here, it became public knowledge that our manager really wanted him and they changed their manager, meaning that they could plausibly argue that they wanted to keep him.

That was really sloppy and probably cost us several million pounds.

  5. Neither does Rodgers by the sound of it either and when he seems to find out he says he would rather not bother.

  6. Every single Scottish team has became strong this season except the one with the most cash and the most successful its a riddy

  7. Early days yet, a month to go.

We should be able to beat St.Mirren at home regardless, with what we have got.

  8. Then away to Aberdeen. Away to rangers, 2 leg of UCL playoff. We are *!

  9. :56:

Ffs mate, not ideal but we're far from *..

  10. Not quite yet.
Say, a significant new signing each week, and an easier draw in the Champions League.
The game at Ibrox will be very hard I will grant you, but if we got a draw there, that would not be too bad.

  11. Can always count on Baz for some sensible attitude

  12. It’s already sour. Hopefully there’s banners and chants at the weekend telling the board where to go.

  13. I mean we are not *. The most likely outcome is that we beat aberdeen away as well as st mirren at home and livi at home, maybe draw against rangers, and scrape through our qualifier.

But we are certainly risking an allmighty negative reaction if results go against us. Its not too much of a stretch to see us drop point against aberdeen, and lose to rangers and if that happens the euro tie probably wouldnt even save the board from the wrath of fans.

  14. Its not as easy as making a signing every week. Players take time to settle, need time to train with the team and learn our system. We've already left it too late to bring anyone in and expect them to make a difference for our big games in August. Its completely unrealistic to think all new signings can hit the ground running and improve the team instantly.
