    Pogačar being a freak today....

Big crash, cut to bits and still putting Pidcock to the sword.

Is Pogacer even human? after winning Giro, Tour AND Worlds in same season although he did lose the other day.
I watched a race from Belgium on Tuesday? I think it was a classic but it ended in mayhem, never seen so many crashes in a race, sore to watch so many people in pain on the road.

Although you've got to love the excitement of a sprint finish for me it's the likes of Pogacer going up a mountain with other cycling professionals and then being able to accelerate away from them, UP A MOUNTAIN, just amazing athletes with stunning endurance, there's no sports even close to a Grand Tour, 3 weeks of riding nearly every day for 100-200 Kms, breathtaking.

Aye, it was Brugge - De Panne that had all the crashes. I seen Jonathan Milan headbutted a guy towards the end of the race as well :56:

Did you watch Milan - San Remo? Pogi, van der Poel and Ganna absolute beasts. Pogi attacked over and over again on the Cipressa and Poggio but no luck. Pogi is going to Roubaix now as well but I think its too flat for him to win.

Didn't know about the headbutting so I'll have to have a look for it. Aye I seen the Milan-San Remo from when they broke away, I was surprised Pogacer couldn't drop Van Der Poel but it's still early in his season and don't expect Pogacer to peak until the actual Tour, Vingegaard seems back although he injured his wrist recently, he was rushed back too soon for last years Tour, also have you seen the 19 year old Visma brought in for Vingegaards absence M. Brennan? he not only won the first stage of Volta Catalunya but won todays stage going away from the field as well, at 19, old enough = good enough.

    Just WOW ...

Pogačar arrived in Belgium on Tuesday ahead of the Tour of Flanders, but rather than warm up by racing Dwars door Vlaanderen, as did Wout van Aert and Mads Pedersen, he travelled to Troisville, France, to do a reconnaissance on the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix.

During his 213-kilometre ride, Pogačar powered across almost all 30 sectors of the 2025 Paris-Roubaix route. While he cruised through the Arenberg sector well behind the record from last year's race, he set Strava records on the Auchy les Orchies and Mons en Pévèle sectors in quick succession.
On the Orchies sector, he went six seconds faster than the time set by Dylan van Baarle in the 2022 edition. Over Mons en Pévèle, he knocked two seconds off the previous top time set by Guillaume Van Keirsbulck in the 2019 race, while riding the Carrefour de l'Arbre and Gruson sectors, he was within one second of the time of Wout van Aert from the 2023 Paris-Roubaix.
His work wasn't done quite yet, however, as the Tour of Flanders is four days away. Rather than ride into Roubaix, Pogačar skipped across the border to nearby West Flanders and rode over the Oude Kwaremont and Paterberg without going too deep before settling back in Waregem to rest up for Sunday.

Pogačar was originally not scheduled to compete in Paris-Roubaix, as his team felt it was risky with the Tour de France a major goal, but after finishing third in Milan-San Remo, he decided to confirm rampant speculation and race the * of the North.

On Pogačar's Strava post, he revealed some new merchandise in collaboration with cycling artist Jorge Larco, known as Fette on social media, with a drawing of him standing in his rainbow jersey with one of the goats the organisation used to clean up the cobbles of the Arenberg forest. T-shirts of the drawing are available for sale on Pogačar's website

Paris Roubaix is always the best race of the year and it didn't disappoint again today. MvdP showed all his class on a bike, easily the best across the pavé. Pogi * himself by attacking too hard into a 90 degree turn. He also looked mental with his watch slicing into his wrist. Mads also an absolute beast again today. They all had a puncture today but his was the most unfortunate timing.

But the two of them are insane, and I fear the Tour is going to be a procession for Pogi.

Pogacar at Fleche Wallonne today, the last km was 17% uphill and Pogacar pedalled away from the group, he didn't even get out of his saddle to do it, this is one of the things that really impresses me about pro cycling, Pogacar accelerating away uphill from other pro cyclists, JUST AMAZING.

Mads Pedersen has been a machine this Giro so far. 3 wins in 5 stages.

Primož Roglič showed with that short attack at the end that he doesn't need to worry about Pederson in the long run but the power to get back on Vacek's wheel and get a sprint in is impressive.

Simon Yates had the ride if his life on the Finestre! He did a Froome.

All those years ago Froome came out of nowhere to take the Giro title from Yates on the Finestre. Today Yates got redemption. He was a beast on the 2178m high mountain.

Del Toro and Carapaz were fools who marked each other out of the race.

hi man, no Lubo it's definitely 'doing a Yates' as he went up the mountain 5 minutes Quicker than froome did. Been really looking forward to the Pogacer V Vinegaard duel, although it's difficult seeing past Pogacer apparently there are 3 longer mountain stages around stages 18, 19 & 20 that will apparently suit Vinegaard better, this WILL BE GOOD.

Again, Yates, well done man, carapaz and del torro BOTH got their tactics wrong and lost the race.

That first stage 1 had a wild ending. I think the Visma team as a whole looks a lot stronger than the UAE one, as the Visma work to split the Peleton looks to have already killed Remco's tour. Vingegaard took the bull by the horns, showing his form, but a lot of his team came with him. It looked like Tim Wellens was the only guy who stayed with Pogačar today.

Of course this Pogačar doesn't really need teammates. He is the complete cyclist, his reading of peloton is the greatest there has ever been. He is never out of place, he never misses the jump. It's a superpower. Remco on the other hand never seems to get it right, his placement was terrible again and that is his tour done.

I think Visma will at some point try this again...

A brutal crash for Philipsen. Coquard getting a lot of heat but the Intermaché guy was very reckless with the shoulders.

Aye I saw that happening, almost immediately his teammates setting off without him told you it was bad

Apparently Coquard was there as his team needs points to avert relegation from the top group as usually he wouldn't be mixing it with the sprinters

That was one of the great Tour finishes. They can't remove the Montmarte as its too good. Pogačar made it, the man's a machine.

Aye it's the course that was used in Olympics, Pogacer trying to win the stage, monster of an athlete, it'll have to be someone like Onley to give Pogacer a race as he's far in front of his age contemporaries.
