He has to start. Has to.

There's a player there, always felt that. You don't get rid of a CB at our level who's best games have came against quality opposition.

People have short memories. Thank *, Brendon does not.
Trusty would get bullied rotten at Ibrox, again, and plenty of other SPL grounds too.
A few good appearances in friendlies does not alter the equation imo.
Still think it is best to offload, and get another quality CB in to partner CCV.

Has done well pre season, bar a few brainless moments. Just a matter of keeping the head going forward as he's never far away from looking like a * pansy.

Not against giving the jersey to start with, if he gets it I hope he can kick on. Will be watching closely.

I dont think anyone is forgetting his drop off in performances mate.

For myself, like alot of others on here, I truly believe theres a player in there. He shows alot of quality against better opposition, but seems to lose his marbles in random games.

But me liking a player thats been a bit of a let down, thats actually a rarity for me. Im usually an uptight * about players who "let us down". I want Idah sent away to *. I think Engles should be given until xmas to show something or be punted. If i could get away with it, I'd Tonya Harding Scales coming out of Lennoxtown ffs.

We need shot of Scales and Welsh, bring in another CB to challenge along with Trusty for the position.
You dont get rid of a player with obvious quality, you work with him, find out what the issue is, and fix it on the training ground.

Its also worth remembering CCV, hailed as the best CB weve had in years, had more than enough bomb scare games last year to justify questioning his place.

We just weren't cohesive enough last year as a team. Very few get pass marks from after xmas for me.

Trusty is the least of my squad worries atm.

Beyond that I think he had only actually played a half of football against them in the league cup final where we were 1-0 down thanks to a suicidal Greg Taylor pass.

Meanwhile Scales was absolutely rank rotten in the 3-0 at Ibrox and the 1-1 at Ibrox he should have prevented their goal.

Trusty has his flaws and we should be doing better but when you look at the mess of our forward line I would be playing Trusty and CCV until we get the forward line sorted.

Don’t get me wrong we should be trying to get the likes of A Callum Doyle in as he would be a massive upgrade on both but the fact Trusty has good pace negates a lot of the danger in behind our high back line, every time we played Aberdeen with Trusty instead of Scales we won comfortably by comparison.

I actually wouldn’t be surprised if he wants to leave right enough given how he was treated second half of last season.

Was subbed off at half time and Rodgers got out with some bullshit excuse to make himself look like a tactical genius.

If Scales had rightly been penalised for his usual pish defending and cost us the game, Rodgers would never have mentioned any of it

Trusty is a better defender than Scales but struggles to progress the play against the majority of sides we play against..

He showed how good he can be v Newcastle..

Ideally we sign a better player for that position and get rid of one of them or we should look at CCV/Trusty partnership again. It's the partnership with the most potential.

All LCBs will benefit from having KT in the side.

I think people underestimate how hard it is for us to find a CB who can handle European football. He evidently can.

I dunno why we would want to get rid of that.

Some have lost their minds because he was bullied up at Dundee and had some poor games domestically. There was plenty good from him last season as well, Europe being a major plus as you say. I think he should be given the nod at the start of this season. If we are still seeing the same weaknesses domestically, we would need to look at it.

I guess you didn't notice the comma then. Swot up on your punctuation.:Kyogo:

I was referring to his horror first half display at Hampden. Aside from that, I think Brendan has made up his mind on Trusty.

The comma changes nothing, intact it further enforces your point about him being "*" at Ibrox despite never playing there.

You clearly lied to try and further a point, try harder next time little man :50:

Prefer him to Scales, but ideally want better than both to partner CCV. Had good performances against good opposition in Europe and has a lot of good attributes but I'll always worry about his concentration and potential to get rattled and roughed up against bog standard domestic strikers.
