We could have... counting Australians since they play in Asian football.

    Ange as manager.

    Milosevic
    Feely

    Cha
    Irvine
    Iwata
    Zhi
    Du Wei
    Kobayashi
    Inamura

    Kwon
    Ideguchi
    Ki
    Mooy
    Hatate
    Nakamura
    Rogic

    Maeda
    Yang
    Mizuno
    Tilio
    Arzani

    Viduka
    Kyogo
    McDonald
    Oh
    Yamada

A sneaky one could be you could include Samaras since his dad was born in Australia and was eligable for them.

Just taking them at like the age they were with us. So never included Harry Souttar who played for our youth team.

The keepers are pish and defence weak given that Iwata and Zhi playing at centre-back would probably be better than Du Wei and Kobayashi.

But the midfield and forwards would be quality and with good depth.

Playing Angeball, i'd say it could be done.

More nonsense to talk about since it's pre season :celtman2:

You would just play no defenders, imagine a front 3 of Viduka, Kyogo & McDonald that would be frightening :56: then Maeda and Yang on each wing.

Would probably outscore near enough every team to be fair.

Not to open a political can of worms but you could include our Arab-Israeli players

    Milosevic
    El Hamed Iwata Inamura
    Cha Hatate Kayal Maeda
    Nakamura Rogic
    Kyogo

    Bench:
    Viduka
    Ki
    McDonald

Anyway there's no way we'd win anything it's fine going forward but there's no defence or GK

    Milosevic
    Cha Iwata Inamura Hatate
    Ki
    Rogic Mooy
    Nakamura Viduka Maeda
Yang, Kyogo, McDonald off the bench.

Hatate did used to play left-back and that one game he played right-back for us he scored a double mind.

With those options in goal and at the back, not a chance. Decent midfield but no pace or physicality in it.

Get the ball forward and we're laughing.

If we include Israeli's then we'd be talking a Treble. I left them out since they play in European competitions, would be like cheating including them and Australians would need to be one or the other probably.

    Milosevic
    Cha Elhamed Bitton Inamura
    Ki Hatate
    Nakamura Rogic Maeda
    Viduka

With Gershon, Iwata, Zhi, Kayal, Mooy, Berkovic, Adaba, Yang, Oh, Kyogo, McDonald on the bench.

    We'd be leathering teams.

Yeah I thought it may be too strong, to make it accurate I only included "Arab-Israeli's" and left out any with European heritage (Gerson, Bitton, Abada)

Still think the lack of keeper would harm us though

This would be Mizuno time to shine.

Talk about a player you loved for no reason.

    I’d go-

    Milosevic
    Iwata Irvine Inamura
    Naka Hatate Rogic Maeda
    Kyogo Viduka
    McDonald

    * the defending, just imagine the goals.

That would be an awesome midfield and attack and a terrible defence. It certainly wouldn't be boring!

Even with two midfielders counted in the defence bit in Jackson Irvine and Iwata to make it look slightly better it’s still shocking:56: (Edit: Just realised Zhi’s also there haha)

Even with that though, the absolute quality going forward is insane and probably enough.

    Milosovek

    Cha Iwata Inamura

    Maeda Naka Ki Mooy Hatate

    Rogic

    Kyogo Viduka
That team in Scotland would still concede a lot, be susceptible to hammer throwers and long ball but squeeze right up the pitch, would always have the ball, have the pace to cover in behind and would score an insane amount of goals

Ki, Naka, Mooy, and Rogic in the centre would rarely lose the ball. Have so much magic in it, would get so many free kicks for Naka to put away.

And the thought of Viduka partnering Kyogo, that would be insane. I’ve always thought Kyogo is unlucky he’s in an era of the lone striker, he’s perfect for the old big man little man partnership. And Viduka was sheer quality, the best striker I’ve seen for us not named Henrik. Link up and hold up play was insane, great on the ball, score any type of goal and would make so much space for Kyogo. The little we seen of him and Henke before he broke his leg was insane, and nearly bandaged the fact Barnes was a clown.

That under Ange though? * *. Hatate would join in LWB, not the best of him but would. And Daizen is Daizen. Would cover Naka’s poor defensive game and make so much room for him on that side.

Ki would need to learn how to win headers very well, would be him and Viduka alone for defending corners

Nakamura assisting Mizuno to score was the first ever goal two Japanese players linked up for a goal for a club in a European League. Always sticks in my head because there was a massive thing made of it in Japan. Honestly Naka being here and that publicity, and stuff like that being a big story in Japan is a big reason to my mind why we’re an attractive option to Japanese players. Ange coming from the J League to us and the success he brought with guys from that league has only enhanced that.

We have a reputation over there. It’s a great thing.

As others have said, the Viduka-Kyogo link up would be insane. That’s a 50 goal partnership minimum you’d have to think. Then you also have Maeda, McDonald, Nakamura, Rogic, Mooy, Hatate… oooft.

Those defenders though lol. The Ange win games 7-4 system would be in full effect :giggle1:

Actually no. While Australia applied to be part of Asia for WC Qualifying purposes, NZ is still part of Oceania.

Midfield of Hatate, Naka and Rogic would be a watch.

Imagine Naka as an 8 in our system now he would be a shambles. Tailor made to play in those half spaces. Always felt he was a square peg in a round hole and was still one of the best players in Europe.

Was thinking Naka in the middle but actually too many good options so aye would have Naka on the right.
