I doubt it. Looks like Rodgers might have a change in formation this season...he's been playing 4231 in pre season. If we are looking at him I reckon its for the 10 spot...fact he can play RW and LW is a bonus.

Get the feeling folk are thinking along the lines of...we enquired about the player, they've quoted 5 million, we've put in a bid of 1.5m. There's no way that's how it went down ffs, I know people love putting the boot in at every opportunity, but there will be more to it than that.

 

Pretty typical the best player we have been linked with isn’t actually a target anymore it’s just someone we bid 3.5m under the market value for a month ago.

Some people do, but the club also keep giving the fans open goals with some of the bizarre decisions being (and not being) made. It might just be optics and things really are happening behind the scenes in a water tight environment with no leaks to the media (let's hope so), but if we're going on face value it seems as though we're sat on our hands with a vault of cash that we're too scared to dip into.

 

I'd like to caveat the type of post i made there, with 'not every fan voicing concerns fall under this category' but it would be so tedious. It's pretty obvious we make things difficult for ourselves at times, what am referring to is 'those type of fans' will take any situation and apply the worst, most self-defeating scenario to it automatically.

Just saying there will always be a multitude of circumstances in trying to acquire players and doing the whole 'we are an embarrassment' thing without knowing the details is just pointless.
