This is the type of signing we are all wanting. We all keep saying get him in before he goes somewhere else & we end up paying 10 million for him.

My only problem is game time for these type of signings. The club seem to be looking to the future which is what we all want. The problem is Rodgers will not give these guys game time unless the player in front of them is injured. We have seen this with Sinisalo at the end of the season, only got game time because Kasper was injured.

 

I must admit he looks good for an 18 year old DM in those YT packages. I can see the comparisons with Lennon Miller, very similar in build and style, with one slight difference, this guy looks like he has a bit more steel about him. I wonder if we are going down the route of developing younger foreign players, because our own academy is not producing much, sad to say, because I can also see the comparisons with Yamada and Kvistgaarden in build and style, with the added bonus of not getting ripped off in the process.

Still also would like to see some seasoned pros being signed in key positions, to have a blend of youth and experience.

 

I see your point but would argue that goalies are a bit different in that they’re not substituted often during a game. In contrast, it’s pretty normal for midfielders to play 60 mins and for someone else to replace them.

There are opportunities for him here.

Looks very good, plays always with head up and looking to get on the half turn to move or pass forward.

Only downside is a lot of passes are long, floated - against better teams would be intercepted.

But there's certainly a player in there
Doesn't look an obvious CDM to me - he's kinda what I'd hoped Engels would/will bring.

 

We should sign them both. Miller is going to be quality either way.

Rangers and Celtic are set to battle it out to sign Serbian star Andrej Bacanin, sources have told Football Insider.

The 18-year-old is expected to leave Serbian Super League side FK Cukaricki this summer, with a number of big European teams interested.



Sources say that the Glasgow pair lead the race for Bacanin but will have to fend off interest from the likes of Ajax and Udinese to secure his signature.

Both Rangers and Celtic have a good chance of making a deal happen, and it will come down to who can win the bidding war for the midfielder.




Last season, Rangers finished 17 points behind Celtic, as the Hoops wrapped up their fourth Scottish Premiership title in a row.

The Gers now have new owners at the helm in the form of 49ers Enterprises, who finally took control of the club at the end of May



One of their first acts was to appoint Russell Martin as manager, and the former Southampton boss has been tasked with closing the gap to rivals Celtic.

Different managers mate. Lennon appeared to have alot more "faith" in younger players, Watt, Dylan, Karamoko etc. and Lennon did favor defensive mids as part of his tactics, especially in Europe.

Rodgers appears to prioritise his tactical philosophy over potential.... or ability. Which is the only reason I can see why Liam Scales gets game time over Nawrocki.

This may sound utterly ridiculous, but we should be keeping him out of Sevcos hands.

He has a big future fee written all over him, and its not as if his club are asking for the moon.

Sign him and stagger rotate him with Cal, who needs rested more and more these days.
