    I know they often visit southern U.K. coasts… but that’s well north…

Could be due to warm currents or just another indicator of our warming waters.

Not sure if this is worth sharing but I said to my girlfriend yesterday that she was a sunfish. Thinking it was some kind of cute fish she replied ''aww whats that?'' so I showed her on youtube. As the documentarian is describing the sunfish she looked really shocked. I was sat there in tears of joy then the documentarian says ''And they can grow as big as a car!!''
I turned around and looked at her. If looks could kill I would be dead yesterday. But it was worth it Lads.

    OK….

    It’s bottle-nose dolphins..

Lots of them around today. Playing in a group and jumping in and out of boat wakes. Bow-riding too…

Big adults with infants clinging to them.

Fantastic day for seals, porpoise and these beauties..

I am really looking forward to Friday, getting picked up at 6am by a good birding mate and we off to the North Wales Moors. Target species are Merlin, Short Eared Owl, Hen Harrier, Hobby, Osprey and if insanely lucky Honey Buzzard. Also a chance of maybe a Stoat. I will let you all know how we get on when I get back in the afternoon.

A bit disappointing on the moors, however I well spotted a handsome male Hen Harrier which saved the outing. Also seen was a Red Kite, 5 Kestrels and plenty of Buzzards. Yes I thought I would get at least 6 species of raptor, but that is nature watching for you, it does not always go your way, but when it does we smile wider than wide.
