Forrest had numerous niggling injuries over that period. Was out several months at one point I'm sure with a recurring hamstring injury. Think that and having Jota, Abada and Maeda as competition made it hard to break back in repeatedly.

 

I’m assuming Messi/ronaldo have the total seasons scored in succession. But does anyone know who has the record for most consecutive seasons scored at one club and how many?

 

I don't know the record but first came to mind is Totti at Roma and his is 23 seasons

 

I did the unlazy thing and googled it myself according to google giggs has 23 too. But the google results didn’t seem to bring anything up other than the “top 5 leagues” fs

The whole start of the thread just shows how difficult is to predict the future. But at the time all of those opinions were relevant, after 10 years and many important goals I think James proved most of them incorrect.

 

I changed that opinion later in the thread

 

Couple of runs where he held on the ball too much which is unlike him but it's a pre-season friendly so who cares. He looks fit and ready to go though.
