He was never good enough to be given a chance. He's pretty much failed at St Mirren and Hibernian.

He was a cheap gamble and never paid off yet we’ll probably still get money back, next.

He's been handed decent loans to help adapt to the league and prove himself. I wish more of our players got the chances he did

"Dont think any player has ever had as negative an impact on their teams win % as Kwon did at Hibs.

He started 9 of the 10 games directly after joining them. They got just 8 points in that period with Gray on a shoogly peg. He's hauled off at HT in the last of that run and then starts just 3 of the last 26 games of the season as they rocket up the table without him.

12 starts. 10 points. 0.83 Points per game.

    24 bench/stands. 48 points. 2.00 Points per game.

When Kwon started, Hibs had a lower PPG than 12th placed St Johnstone averaged over the whole season.

When Kwon didn't start, Hibs had a higher PPG than 2nd placed Rangers averaged over the whole season."

Saw that on KDS. Obviously that form wasnt entirely down to him bit thats pretty damning evidence of his impact on the side. Nowhere near good enough and another bizarre signing by us.

There's having a cheap wee gamble and then there's this. Signing a player from K League 2 with pretty much none of the characteristics we'd need in a DM other than maybe height.

Honestly you could tell as early as the Bilbao game he was miles off what we needed … he looked so uncomfortable playing out against a press.

  9. Against Wolverhampton he was good, though.

He did well at St Mirren and they wanted to extend the loan, which in hindsight would've been the better thing to do.

To be fair I saw a few of hibs games during that first period cos I wanted to see how Kwon did and he was actually one of the better players. Which made it even weirder when hibs fortunes turned around he was never to be seen again. Think the Austrian league will suit him though, probably just way too big of a jump from K2 to us.
Good luck to him though, by all accounts seems a great lad

Aye good luck to him. Don't think I can remember him ever speaking though so no sure what he's like :56:

Just really don't want to see punts like this in such important areas. What annoyed me at the time was we've needed a DM for years and we decided to go for him. Fair enough if loaning him out and then getting someone else in the meantime, but we didn't!

Still paying for the £20m spanked in Rodgers first summer back. Lawwell jnr.

  13. He said he wanted to fight in Paradise, or something like that. Best command of English of all of our recent Asian signings.

  14. Even if he'd done well at Hibs this season he was never making it here and we'd still be looking to sell. We only get a certain amount of first team loans now so guys like this are just wasting it for the ones who do have a potential future here..

He was very very good at St Mirren. Robinson seemed to get the most out of him and also understood he's a box to box midfielder more than a 6. Hibs seemed to try give him a more rigid role and he looked completely lost positionally at times.

I agree with pretty much everyone here, no point in another loan, try get some sort of transfer fee and move on and wish him well. I'll be here to remind you all when he wins the balon d'or with his next team :giggle1:.

Hyeok-kyu Kwon is on the list at Austria Vienna. However, the FAK is not the only interested party. In the meantime, it has become known how high the transfer fee is that Celtic Glasgow calls for a transfer.

The future of Hyeok-kyu Kwon at Celtic Glasgow is open. According to information from Fussballeuropa.com, the Scottish record champion would not put any obstacles in the way of the 24-year-old if a suitable offer was received.

According to the current state of the status, this has not been done so far. This editorial staff learned that Austria Vienna has foreseed about Kwon. Three weeks ago, the portal 67 Hail Hail reported on the interest of the Austrian Bundesliga team.

This is how much transfer would Austria Vienna have to pay for Hyeok-kyu Kwon
In the meantime, further details regarding a possible change have leaked. Celtic is calling for a transfer fee of between 200,000 and 300,000 euros for a fixed transfer this summer. In the cooperation, which was still dated until 2028, a salary of about 200,000 euros per year is recorded.

The track to Austria is not really concrete at the moment. In principle, Celtic would also agree to a new loan, but prefers a sale. Kwon was already loaned to Hibernian last season.

The former South Korean junior national player could also go back home to Vienna instead of a change. On the Asian market, there is very great interest in the midfielder.

Kwon is strongly built and therefore brings physicality to the center. The right foot is an aggressive sweeper with high activity and strong anticipation. Thanks to his height of 1.92 meters, Kwon is strong in the header game and also tactically good in the field shift.

Kwon Hyeuk-kyu has also been told he can leave.

Kwon is in a difficult position with the competition there so he’s obviously looking for a club.”
