Also wouldn’t be upset with Frame playing back up left back next season as opposed to us bringing in some young left back that’s in that kind of project bracket … any time I’ve seen him he looks a player.

Good physicality about him too.

 

We need to look at extending the summer break to avoid playing on nights like tonight… soaked through and baltic in July, magic.

A good workout for the team though. Was impressed by the tempo we played at for our first outing of the season. Plenty of passes getting fizzed into feet, rather than the slow mundane crap we served up at times in the last few months of last season. Hopefully that’s been a focus and credit to the young lads for near maintaining that in the second half.

Difficult to pick out individuals, in no small part due to the fact it seems to be a necessity to be either fair haired or ginger to be a Celtic youth player. I thought the right back (Donovan?) looked good in the first half though. Strong and a good engine, plus seemed comfortable on the ball and good tactically. Thought Summers stood out second half and the young lad Daly looked the part in his cameo too - head on a swivel, always wanting the ball.

Was sticking in some quality crosses as well and this was all as a left winger

Ben Summers was good second half and I actually forgot he was here. Was a top talent as a kid but he won't make it here, despite having talent. Something is missing..

The young 16 year old that came on in the 6 for that cameo I liked. Sprayed it about instantly, did give away a dangerous foul after that but was confident and neat......promising kid as looked athletic and physical. We must have big hopes for him if he's getting on at 16..
