Should never have been the case with the amount of cash in the bank but hopefully getting him out the door will see us go and sign a few players to strengthen the starting 11 now

Personally, it would have been nice to have the depth for one season. Otherwise again personally speaking, im somewhat underwhelmed by the fee, I can only assume there must be a lofty sell on fee so that if he posts similar numbers in Italy and then goes for silly money relative to Celtic then we still could make circa £25mill out of the deal

Personally I think any club would be seriously negligent to shell out that kind of a fee for a player who has huge question marks about his mentality. You can teach a player to improve their technical skills but you can't teach them not to be a complete waster.

Would’ve liked a wee bit more squeezed out of the deal, but seems like a good bit of business given his lack of consistency.

Imagine what could’ve been if his form lasted more than just half the season.

Unless Kuhn was harassing to move it seems a low figure £17m?, we have made a huge profit but it'd be nice to keep our better players for longer, but I suppose that's why they come to Celtic, for exposure in CL and a lucrative move on, a pity really.

    His agent is Christian Nerlinger

also wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve been pushing for a move for a while

Wouldn't be at all surprised. He played for the Huns before didn't he ?
I thought we would get £15M given his dip in form second half of the season, and his questionable mentality, but delighted we got £17M plus, gives us more flexi for future transfers.

This is being said a lot about kuhn but after his debut season, if there were questions over his mentality he wouldn't have gone on to have a season where he had a total of 36 goal involvements from 3285 minutes played.

Less than £20mill for a winger posting those types of numbers is low, even for our standard. MOR best season for us saw him have 37 goals involvements from 4291 minutes played. The two are practically the same age albeit Kuhn is Jan 2000 whereas MOR is Nov 2000 and we got far more for MOR.

Kuhn, for all of the faults people want to lay at his feet, regarding mentality, wouldn't have had the season he just had, if he weren't strong enough mentally. What we got for him in personal opinion is underwhelming.

You couldn't have made my point better for me. Matt O'Riley is the absolute polar opposite of Kuhn mentality wise and that is precisely why he's worth nearly £10 million more.

If it wasn't down to his mentality, then what caused him to put in those pathetic performances over the last 5 months of the season?

Yet someone who so mentally weaker was done out by 1 goal. Are we seriosuly suggesting that if Kuhn was a mentality monster, say like a Maeda, people were expecting him to do even better than 36 goals involvements in a season.

If people seriosuly expected Kuhn to carry on for a full season the rate he was at from the start you are talking about a record setting season from a Celtic player.

For someone so weak, he ain't half done bad to be putting out those numbers, which to me suggests the fee is low, for someone so weak mentally he would guffed it royally on the CL level. Which suggest to me the fee is low. Celtic fans ain't half a fickle bunch sometimes.

Hate to see how we all react if Nygren doesn't get off to flying start with a hattrick on his debut and then a goal and assists for the next 10 games

Was it just him or did the whole.squad not go off the boil after Bayern game.

We lost back to back to huns, surely even with the league wrapped up, that then puts into question every player involved in the losses and their mentality.

Is the mentality of players after losing to Aberdeen in a cup final not in question... or is just Kuhn because he started the season so astonishingly after his.horrible debut season, a start that not many players in world football could maintain. Couldn't keep it going for the full season?

Off the boil? He was visibly pulling out of challenges, not making runs or looking to get on the ball.

We started to look tired as a team but Kühn was a disgrace.
