Thought I remembered it wrong, but I thought he was gash too. He was getting lucky Dessers and Roofe were so * slow. Scales had to keep covering for him.

People trying to rewrite the narrative on this guy after one good season in the Netherlands, for the same team Robin Propper came from.

He was beyond woeful at Ibrox and is remarkably slow, much slower than Scales, who already causes us issues with his speed.

If we can get close to what we've paid for him, we'd be doing well.

Rafael Scheidt would be a good defender for some if it meant he dislodged Scales :56:
I'm gutted Nawrocki isn't getting more of a chance but Lagerbielke is gash let's not kid ourselves on here.

Well behind our other options for me.

Seems like a nice guy though and good to see he's done well at a team he's more suited too.

Sounds like he will be a Braga player by the end of the week.

Big man will be on his way from Braga to Benfica for £15M by next summer.
Best of luck to him, Brendan clearly doesn't rate him.

    https://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbla...er-fran-braga-vantas-lakarundersokas-i-veckanAVS:

Gustaf Lagerbielke looks set to be sold to Braga in Portugal.

According to Sportbladet's information, Celtic and Braga are close to agreeing on the price tag - and the player is expected to undergo a medical at the Portuguese club this week.

It was at the end of last summer that Celtic loaned Swedish center back Gustaf Lagerbielke to Twente in the Netherlands.

This after the Scottish club bought the player from Elfsborg for around 40 million kronor earlier.

Now he has been linked with a move to Braga in Portugal and according to Sportbladet's information, the parties have now in principle agreed on a deal where the Swede will be bought out.

Lagerbielke is also expected to undergo a medical this week if everything goes as planned and thus sign for his new club if everything goes as planned.

To be fair though I'd also say it's harsh to hold that game at Ibrox against him.

Time will tell as to what he goes on to do. I just feel like I didn't see enough of him in a celtic jersey to go full "hes rotten". Not saying he was the answer but people decided the narrative, as you say, on him really quickly.

If it's any consolation, my post wasn't aimed at you, it was moreso aimed at another user who is known for overtly hysterical posts on the last page :67:

For me, he's far, far too slow for our system. We already struggle with Scales and his pace, and he's quicker than Lagerbielke.

Maybe in a different system it would work, but we need quick CB's to work properly with the way Rodgers plays.

Aye, should be aiming to get at least £3 million, which is essentially what we paid for him.

Might just want him off the books I suppose.

I don’t think we can be sniffy. Signed him, failed to make it here, sell at a loss. That’s what happens.

That’s it. Him doing well on loan saved him from likely being a total write off from a financial perspective. We’ve done well to recoup a fair chunk of our initial outlay and get him off the wage bill.

Between the £2m for the transfer and the amount we got for his winner against Feyenoord in the CL, we have broke even.

If we can get another £2m for Nawrocki I'd take a £3m loss tbh. As above, least that winner knocks it down a bit too.

Same. Both probably ok players but can't see either being much of a positive if still here next season. Take what's available and use the time and additional money to better effect.

Focus on the incoming is highest priority.
