Said earlier but I expect we'll be easing in Osmund as the season goes on, might even see him loaned out for 6 months.

I don't think we were ever spending big on a striker after Maeda's form over the last 6 months. Idah, as patchy as he was, deserves another 6 months at least too.

I think this guy will do good, by all accounts he looks suited to the way we play.

He's all but signed by all accounts, if it had fallen through we'd have heard by now.

This boy signing won't change that.

Aye Maeda was either staying as the main man up top or likely wanting away..

Can't argue with Maeda as number 1
Idah we invested a lot of money and although needs ro brush up on his game, we wouldn't get back what we paid for him and still, he has scored a lot of goals
Yamada as another option with pace, energy, ball carrying and goals...isn't the worst 3..

We need some wingers in though..

    Osmand surely gets loaned out..

He's extremely fast ,extremely strong , aggressive , hard-working and direct. If he can recover his form in front of goal he will be a real player here.

Am I missing something? 32 goals in 118 games. Never played for Japan. Not exactly a CV to get your heart racing. If this goes through then we'll have Maeda, Idah, Yamada and Osmand as striking options for, at least, the first half of the season. Sorry but that does not look good enough. Is anybody seriously going to tell me that the best we could find, within our budget(which is considerable), are Yamada and Osmand? They may turn out to be hidden gems I suppose(and if they are I'll be the first to apologise) but these two forwards and the Japanese CB look like squad filler if ever I saw it.

Highly doubt Maeda will be here next season.

Controversial perhaps, but we need to be improving on Maeda.
This guy is certainly not that.

    This could work for us.

He looks the bustling, aggressive Morelos type of striker, who would feed off all the scraps in front of goal he would get with us. He looks like has more natural aggression and grit than Oh did for us, and he appears to be a very good header of the ball.

I don't see it as controversial. We should be looking to improve on every member of the squad.

My concern is Maeda won't hit that form again. Added to the fact we let Kyogo go and still haven't actually replaced him with quality.

If the plan is to stick with him through the middle then a couple quality wingers are needed.

Agree, especially on repeating last season's form.
I think Maeda hit a one off purple patch in from of goal that we won't see again and he remains a very technically limited (but still valuable) player.
If we (the club) somehow think the striker position is 'sorted' it would be a mistake.

He looks good in the box, gets on the end of a lot of headers plus quick and strong. Main question is why we going for him if we’re getting Osmand?
