Didn't give the Dub hurlers a prayer against Limerick yesterday, one of the most remarkable hurling results in my lifetime.
Kiely was so desperate to get home from Dublin after that result, he had Kyle Hayes drive the bus home.

I would imagine that was pretty much everyone. I doubt even the most ardent of Dubs would have seen that one coming. All the more remarkable too given it was done with Dublin playing about three quarters of the game down a player as well.

Like you, I gave the Dubs no chance. As you say, one of the greatest shocks I can remember. Right up there with Antrim beating Offaly in the 1989 AI semi final. That was one of my favourite games outside of Derry.

Are you sure Kiely wasn't on the roof of the bus? I saw last week he likes to hop about on car rooves.

Eire4, when you say the Dubs were down a player, what exactly do you mean? We all know Dublin teams are flexible about the number of players they have on the pitch. ;)

Well of course being flexible is a sign of a really quality team so certainly a trait we indeed are familiar with in Dublin. In this case I was of course referring to Dublin recognizing that playing Limerick with 15 players was just unfair so we decided to give them a sporting chance by playing a man short for most of the game all done of course in the most sporting of manners as well:boxing:

Will be interesting to see what sort of crowd comes out for that one. Hard to see Dublin pulling a second rabbit out of the hat but hopefully we can at least put in a good performance and make a game of it.

Ah that's a shame would be a great match to get to as well. It was some win for them in the semis. Cheered them the whole way. Was really confused when the draw showed them playing Cork because I though the rebs were getting the winners of Tipp and Galway!

Everybody thought the same-and that was because Limerick were expected to win. But with the Dubs winning, and Cork having played Tipp already, thats why.

Sad to see Dessie Farrell go. A true gentleman and not a very good manager
