There’s some amount of opinions I’ve seen like this it’s baffling, he tried so hard to get him out the first team. Soon as there was a slip up, benched him, watched Trusty week by week do a lot worse until he eventually had to face up to the fact he should have been dropped long before and bring Scales back in. And it made a * difference when he did.

He’s spent about £14m on CB’s Rodgers, and none have managed to outperform Scales. Think the summer he’ll try to again. Ideally we have Scales as a reliable 4th choice, knowing we can bring him in when needed.

But what I think will happen is CCV goes, Scales is next to someone he brings in and outperforms that player. Unless the Ajer rumours true and he comes in.


On topic but, * really want this guy. We’re linked quite consistently now with him I think the interest is genuine and not just one of they guys the names thrown out papers needing to get something people will click on. Red Star football club could be without another great talent from the generation of 2007.


As "Mozzart Sport" reports, his peer Veljko Milosavljević could also follow his path after Ljutica Bogdan.

The talented stopper got a great opportunity in the second half of the season after the departures of Uroš Spajić, Naser Điga and Vanja Drkušić, after which he drew attention to himself abroad.

The mentioned source reports that Celtic representatives were in Belgrade to inquire about Milosavljvić's availability.

Trusty’s main faults don’t seem like things that will be ironed out they are just him as a player. The only player I’ve seen defend better in Europe than domestically is Kelvin Wilson who he is very similar to profile wise. Wilson seemed to get to grips with the physical side in his second season but i don’t remember him getting the runaround off a Simon Murray back then.

Not aggressive enough, not clean enough in possession and everything looks a stretch for him.

 

Let Red Star be as greedy as they want, we are not playing that sort of money for an unproven kid.

I dont trust BR to spot a defender if his wife and life depended on it, given his history of signing defenders at all his clubs; so im reluctant to say give BR that 9 and let him go out and get TWO defenders with actual proven ability.

But the fact if the matter is any club, even if the PSGs and Man Citys were willing to spend 9m on a 17 year old with less than 30 first team appearances, who isnt even a first or second choice at Red Star * Belgrade; would have the in house accountants asking what the absolute * are they playing at.

The kid looks like a beast. But lets be honest, 5m should be the fee for him in two years time with 2 full campaigns under his belt.

Jesus we didn't even scrape 13m for the greatest centre back in the world, after 2 years being a first choice player in the Europa and Champions league, winning titles, cups, captaining the side at times and numerous personal accolades.

He is meant to look a real talent, in that he can defend but is also very good at progressing the ball. The one thing as you would expect at 17 he still has a bit of filling out to do but if he does that he has all the attributes to be a very good centre back.

It would be a step in the opposite direction to what we usually do though as it would be a lot of money for a guy that would likely start out as CCVs back up (if he stays) as he is a right sided player. It would be a big ask to bring him in and play him on his unnatural side.

 

PSG were heavily linked along with some other top clubs in Germany when I last read. There are definitely big clubs interested.
