He was great in several games but Broony was key against Hapoel Be'er Sheva.

David Marshall v Barcelona, and an honourable mention to John Kennedy in the same game.
They were both very young too, playing against Ronaldinho etc

I would say Scott Brown at home to Benfica some time around 2010 or so. Just remember him absolutely running the show in midfield. Think it finished 0-0 or something. That was the first to pop in my head.

edit: September 2012. 0-0 at Parkhead

    That's a very niche one

I was at that and all I recall is it being chronic :giggle1:

I remember distinctly thinking in a couple of champions league games how insanely good Broony can be at that level. There were games he looked like the only one that could cope with it in a Celtic shirt , and one he ran the show , driving from midfield , taking the ball in tight spaces moving it quick , * bouncing off him. Can't for the life of me remember the game or even the year but remember what I was thinking watching it/him. This could have been one of them . Scott Brown was what popped into my head when I first saw this thread but can't commit to a specific game, he was there for so long.

I was thinking about this game, and he man marked Aimar out the game that night. He was their main playmaker and barely got a kick. Problem was, we had nobody who done anything from an attacking point of view either :giggle1:.

Haha just one of those that sticks in your head for some reason. I’m sure you have games like that too that you randomly remember.

If I was to pick the absolute best performance I’ve seen for us in the CL it’s probably Forster v Barca.
Outfield, tough to say. Samaras, Brown, Nakamura, McGregor all had their days.

He had a very good CL group stage I seem to remember he was also good against Benfica when Miller put in a completely unplayable performance against them.

Boruc when we beat Man Utd 1-0 with the Nakamura freekick. He pulled off multiple top saves that night probably only equalled by Forster va Barca.

JVOH was very good I the away 3-2 defeat to Man Utd he gave Ferdinand a hard shift.

Samaras had a few really good performance but I cannot remember who they were all against Spartak in Moscow both Hooper and him were very good.

In a qualifier Leigh Griffiths was absolutely flying against Hapeol Beer Sheva.

The full team minus Magnus Hedman in Munich under O’Neil, we totally deserved to win that game.

That was the one I was going to say. Miller was superb that night

Best I’ve ever seen was McGeady at home to Benfica, genuinely unplayable that night.

Thought Cal Mac against RBL was absolutely peerless last season too.

Kelvin Wilson in the Camp Nou.
