North going south has the best views. Further south are more gentle rolling hills, easier on the legs though.

Thinking Thailand and Japan in July.

Would be keen on any tips on Tokyo and Kyoto. I’ve been to both, but it was a last second trip and I don’t feel like I did either justice as a result - although still had an amazing time in both.

Going to Barcelona at the end of July for 4 nights. Can't wait.

Saw some chat of Porto and Lisbon earlier in the thread. Went to the former in 2023 and Lisbon last year. Much preferred Porto tbh. Smaller city so easier to see more of it, thought the people were much nicer and more welcoming than in Lisbon as well.

I literally just came back from Denmark the other day. Absolutely loved it. We flew into Copenhagen and based ourselves there for the whole trip. The metro is fantastic and easy to use so you can get anywhere in the city quickly. The people are great. Highly recommend it as a great trip. Also your right next to southern Sweden so its easy to do day trips over there which we did as well. Send me a private message if you want any details on what we did and some logistics.

My tip is to get the shinkansen down to Hiroshima and see the Atomic Bomb dome and peace museum instead. Also go to Miyajima island while you're down there.

For Kyoto, if you like unagi, go to this restaurant: https://www.yondaimekikukawa.com/ - Had one of the best meals of my life in there.
