It’d be disappointing if he ends up being one that we miss out on. It’s not of even just a case of him looking like a good player, he genuinely looks he has the makings of a special talent.

I don’t know how much truth there is in that rumour about him being our supposed main target this summer, and I feel like that chatter around our interest has quietened down a bit, but I’m holding on to that hope for the moment

Really keen on him, but think comments saying we are too slow in acting and it’s our fault are a bit premature. Think we have taken a more proactive approach by all accounts this window so can imagine there’s more to it. Especially if his club are dragging their heels and PSV have joined the race. Not done yet, would be a bit of a coup for us now

Also the people saying it have no idea what is going on behind the scenes. It's not 100% in our control. We can't kidnap a player and force him to play for us. His agent will be fielding interest from multiple clubs and his club may also be reluctant to reveal an asking price, instead prefering to await the bids and see what other clubs are willing to pay. Just because he would have jumped at the chance to join us 6 months or a year ago doesn't necessarily mean he will now.

Historically though we have been pish in terms of getting deals done.
Ange was a breath of fresh air kn that sense...both in and out...he didnt want to * about.
But we are infamously slow and you can scout, assess, and work on deals all year round but far too often we * about at what appears to be petty details.

We've worked this hard to get into the position of weeding through cheap signings to gain maximum profit. We should have learned by now...through experience...if you want someone that badly...go get them

Looks like another one we’ve * because we move at a snail’s pace. Or rather, didn’t cough up the fee months ago.

Him and Kvistgaarden could have been phenomenal signings.

And that is our biggest obstacle....Scottish league.
If you can get a move to a team in Europe on the continent wouldn't begrudge it. Got the same window for the big moves

The league really is a sticking point , nothing the club can do about it however.....on to the next if that's how he feels.

Hard to know what the case is as in January I'm sure he was interviewed and said he was basically waiting on the move happening.

Would be disappointing if this wasn't happening. He was winger I was most excited about and he seemed very keen on the move in January.

Genuinely don’t think the players at Bodo are the problem. They’re making too big a step and choosing the wrong club that suits what the majority of them are good at.

If you’re flying in a team who dominates the ball, plays a high paced, pressing, attacking football and you decide to go to * Rennes under Sampoli, who puts 10 men behind the ball and hits on the counter, you’re not going to suit their style of play and ultimately, you’ll not play.

Its also why we don't really get top money from players we sell as well ..think over the years all the big names we sold from van dijk way ama to current sales .if these players played for sporting ajax even teams fae ukraine getting 60 70 million for there players.we been ripped off for so many years .if only we were in a Atlantic style league we could have built a huge new stadium with the money we would have got in

I must admit I think folk are going a wee bit OTT with him. He does look good but he's still played less than 40 first team games in Norway. It's early days.

1 goal in 7 this season.

Anyway. I don't think this is done yet.

Bodo are a separate thing altogether due to whereabouts they are, I think they’re the only team actually in the Artic Circle. They have insane conditions when you visit there, and they suit it, as well as the pitch. That confidence carries on going away as well, to much better conditions.

It’s similar to when Argentina got scudded 6-0 by Bolivia, they played in the highest elevation stadium in the world and played guys acclimatised to it. Extreme conditions, it’s a massive handicap anyone visiting.

I am surprised just how much any player leaving has failed, because they also are genuinely good players, it’s not just the conditions. But Bodo suits them.

They aren’t the norm for the rest of Norway.

But it is a league that great youngsters rarely stay long enough to play in the league much. Dutch teams have a long history bringing in Scandinavians very early. We done it with Ajer, tried the same Odegaard until the big clubs clocked on and we had no chance. But there are gems to be had still, guys like Johansen and Lustig.

I’m just happy we seem to be actually scouting these leagues now

Chat that the asking price has risen to £11m. I wouldn't be keen on him at that price.

This guy gonna be the new Kvistgaarden.

Interested in him but hesitant with the price. We wait and the value only increases so we walk away.

    Looks that way aye.

I think we bid 5m in January and they wanted 7. Grand scheme of things if we really want a player that's not a big gap. However going into double figures, not sure. We could probably get both Balikwisha and perhaps Moro from Valladolid for £12-13m combined. I'd rather those two than pay say £11m for this lad on his own.
