Unless the others step up. Want to start, step up and be better than him. Some challenge.

One of the things no ones really mentioned either is how strong he is..

6 foot and in loads of his videos, defenders are tryna half rattled, leave one on him and he barely budges in most of them..

Ready made for the hammer throwers in our league..

We get this lad and the Swedish boy it will give us some needed physicality that’s been missing at times with our team.

Lille and Celtic are strongly interested in Sondre Ørjasæter, but PSV are in pole position!

The 21-year-old Sarpsborg winger says he is ready to leave Norway for the first time in his career after extending his contract last March.

According to @tv2sport , his price would be estimated at around 8-9M € . Sondre Ørjasæter notably revealed that the Dutch championship would suit him well

Aye, disappointing because I really liked the look of him and I would have preferred him to MAB. Should have gotten this done in January.

    PSV is tough competition.

Hopefully not out of it yet but it does seem like we favour Balikwisha. Shame we couldn't get this done in January. The price doesn't seem to have changed.

Aye lad was saying he was carrying his passport around waiting on the call for our bid to be accepted in January.

Hasn't been anything really solid on this for a few weeks, seems to be dead in the water.

    Probably not gonna happen.

Think we were interested until we found out they wanted us to pay his value.

Value is subjective. They believe he's worth £7m, we might not believe he's worth that. It does seem steep for a guy who's only played 35 games in Norways top flight.

Granted he has decent enough stats but I can see why the club are slightly hesitant to pay that sort of fee right now.

https://www.tv2.no/sport/jeg-foler-meg-klar/17843797/Sondre Ørjasæter: Ready for Transfer to Big Club - TV 2. Sarpsborg 08, Bryne, Eliteserien.

Foreign clubs have long been interested in securing the signature of 21-year-old Sondre Ørjasæter.

Despite a number of offers of tens of millions of kroner, Ørjasæter has not felt ready for a transfer, he told TV 2 .

In January, it was announced that Scottish giants Celtic had made several bids for the youngster

Now the situation has changed, the talent reveals to TV 2.

    – Not something I think about much
Despite a recent injury layoff of around a month, interest in the dribbling genius has not diminished.

Now I feel ready to take the step, while I am doing well here with full focus on Sarpsborg. Transfer is not something I think about very much, says Ørjasæter.

Sarpsborg 08 has previously demanded around one hundred million kroner for the Oslo boy.

Both French side Lille and Celtic have been closely monitoring the youngster for a long time, without any transfer having taken place.

As TV 2 understands it, it is the Dutch PSV who are now in the driving seat to secure the Sarpsborg jewel.

    May suit me well
Ørjasæter says that Dutch football could suit him well, without revealing any specific clubs.

The type of football they play in Spain and the Netherlands I feel is my type of football, the 21-year-old tells TV 2.

According to TV 2's information, the Ørjasæter camp has already visited to get to know several clubs that may be relevant in the event of a transfer.

Although the 21-year-old feels ready, he points out that there is no rush.

    – I think that if it happens, it happens. It's not like I'll be depressed if there's no transition, says Ørjasæter.

Sports director at Sarpsborg 08, Hampus Andersson, confirms that there is great interest in the former Sogndal player.

However, he does not want to go into which clubs he is talking about.

    – It is clear that there will be great interest when he performs at the level he has, says Andersson.

Would be absolutely gutted if we missed out due to being too slow to close a deal - again.
This guy looks the real deal - a level above Balikwisha imo.

There's a reason Balikwisha is still available and this guy is in demand.
Apparently we are deadlocked about the fee on that one too.

Why do we need to monitor for multiple months, haggle for more weeks and months and then ultimately miss out.
Is this a Toney for Ajeti moment?

Identify the player, ask the price, negotiate for 48hrs max. and either pay agreed price or walk away.

Sadly we'll never know what is true in these dealings - part of the problem of course.

I'm confident there are another couple of 'irons in the fire' that haven't reached the press yet.

We need to start being more comfortable buying and concise at negotiating with these 7-10 million players.

If this lad is a main target, in a position we really badly need to strengthen, just pay the money. The very fact the competition for this boy has teams like PSV around it tells you the potential of him.
