Aye to be fair iv said similar with Jota but regardless he's still on a big wage so still struggling to see us having 6 wingers on our books but would love to be proved wrong.

We've been over this course before where we bring in a player and we think we've got real good competition there now only for us to sell the 1st team player a few weeks later. I think that's what situation is with Nygren and Khun.

Good to hear that he's a left winger given the amount of right wingers we have on the forum these days.

 

Looks like this is progressing well.

£5m would be a great deal for him. I wanted Orjasaeter, not going to lie, but they seem to be very similar. Hopefully it means we are going to be spending big in other areas. Really need a striker now and a really quick, pacey winger to replace Kuhn, when he ultimately leaves.

 

Watched his last video again last night and it's still a bit underwhelming for me..

He isn't a natural at beating a man from what I see or ball carrying. Isn't the quickest..

Does find space well (although opposition look far more open than he'd be afforded here) and technically good but I'd rather go for Orjasaeter. Isn't even close. Actually be gutted if we go for him over the latter..

 

Can only think Rodgers is wanting more flexibility across his front 4 in general, with a move back to a 4-2-3-1.

I'm greedy. I want this guy and Orjasaeter.

 

I completely agree but have since seen reports that he'a more of a 'Maeda style' winger which gives me a bit more confidence. Not a showy winger full of tricks but a solid player who contributes both in attack and defence. He could fit into our team very well.

 

He clearly likes him chaps. I'm maybe biased as want Orjasaeter in badly and just think he's far better suited to us..

If we sign both then all good but I'd be pretty disappointed if it was Balikwisha over anyone else..

 

Orjasaeter does look much more exciting I must admit but trying to talk myself round because the interest in Balikwisha seems strongest!

 

Had a bad injury as well didn't he? And doesn't look as easy on the eye..

I hear you though, although hopefully tryna move Orjasaeter's side on more with the leaks for Balikwisha

 

Just to add as well that the scouting department have clearly liked the look of Balikwisha for a long time (well over a year) so that makes me think they can see something we're not (with more evidence at thier disposal) and also youtube highlight reels are notoriously unreliable.

 

where has this notion that we are going 4-2-3-1 again come from ? I've heard it (only) on here numerous times. To the point where we progress a deal for left sided RW who looks ready made to replace Kuhn and people say he will be converted to a 10 as we are going 4-2-3-1 .....Has there been anything come out or from Rodgers etc? I would like it if we did don't get me wrong (Tommy Rogic on the half turn in the 10 was a thing of beauty ) , but don't think we should be assuming something for no reason .....we are on 4IAR with the 4-3-3.
