I don't think we'll see any solid CB links until the end of July/early August, we have 6 on the book already (7 if you count Murray)

Happy with all the wingers linked, happy we've been linked with a CDM and once Taylor leaves I suspect we'll see some LB links.

For me, alongside Tierney, Doohan and Osmund, I'd hope we also being in the following.

Players in early, wrap up qualification, any transfers out stalled until we're locked in and then let anyone who we can't hold go and do our usual scramble from that point... I could live with that! Best option of keeping those we really want, or get in tricky transfers who're hedging too...

We need a destroyer for the 6 position, especially for Europe when we were severely exposed in the pockets between our defence/midfield. Relating back to when we played Brugge, Onyedika who is their 6 not only gives them the perfect balance (especially in transitions). We struggled to break them down. Get in someone in this mould & push McGregor into the 8.

 

What even is a destroyer?? Cos no player that plays in a Celtic team needs to defend like crazy for 95% of the season.

we need a player capable of defending to a high level that is also able to pick a pass and open teams up.

We seen with Iwata he was exactly that and wasn’t used enough because having 1 sole defensive player in midfield domestically is like having a man down in our formation/style of play

 

Oneydika is a good shout actually, a real powerhouse! Another one is Jashari, we were actually linked to him before his move to Brugge. Guy absolutely lit it up in Belgium this season! Will fetch Brugge at least 40mil€. What a midfield those two, with a strategic Van Aken before them. If we had one of those two and move calmac more upfield!

That's exactly my point! a modern day 6 who can do the defensive capabilities & also distribute the ball well. Onyedika is the profile of player we need.
