    Attila Szalai as a left sided CB option.

    27 years old, been on loan in Belgium from Hoffenheim. This video is a few years old now but it shows the level he has been at, once linked with some big moves whilst at Fenerbache. 49 caps for Hungary. Quick for a big guy, good with the ball, strong and uncompromising at times too. Althougu i dont pay attention to the values, transfermarkt only have him at 1.7m euros now. Something obviously not worked out but at 27 he'd potentially be perfect for us.

    Noticed this boy scored for the Dutch u21's last night so had a look at him..

    21 for Groningen. Looks superb..

    Big strong boy at 6'2 who's the complete midfielder, can mix it and go and break forward with goals and assists..

    Probably what Bernardo should've been but might be out our price range..

    It was rumoured about a month ago that we'd scouted him. Son of the Inter legend. He looks brilliant and exactly what we need in that holding role. Can turn with the ball, shields it well, strong, and good technique. Tall, too. @McGrory1888 did you not say we've looked at him?



    He looks classy as *. Bit of an all-rounder.



    Looks like a Davids regen. * would tackle his granny by the looks of it.

    He was at Bayern, but just the youth team. They must have thought he had something to even get there.

    Yes, we’ve 100% watched him and at least enquired about his situation. I think it’s quite a complex one in that Luzern have a buy option, but Inter have a buy back clause.

    Possibility at least that his dad’s pal being the new Inter manager could mean he wants to give preseason with them a chance to see if there’s any route into their first team squad.

    Exactly the type of profile we should be looking at though - defensive minded, but progresses the ball well.

    Was looking around in Midtylland regarding a Korean CB, but I found Pedro Bravo - a Colombian CDM that might be good. Sadly, given the frequency of Colombian signings at Rangers, I fear he's more likely to end up at them.

    It definitely seems like we are trying to bring in a centre midfielder in that mould who can take the ball off the defence be press resistant and progress it.

    Stankovic, Choutard, and even Irving are all broadly in that sort of mould. All be it Stankovic looks to have the added physicality about him. The way he shields the ball well reminds me of his dad.

    On another note that sort of shielding off the ball and protecting it is an area Engels needs to work on to take his game to the next level, he has the frame for it just needs to learn to clean up that side of his game.
