Hope this is true. I think he's underrated. At the very least, I highly doubt we'll sign a better backup LB in case he leaves.

 

As bizarre as this rumor now sounds to me, I tend to agree. He'd see plenty of game time, and for us, it's one less position to invest in.

 

He'll probably share every single game. Tierney off at 60. The magic sub marker rodgers uses.

This would superb news if he's ready to stay, him and KT sharing the load is the perfect scenario.

 

I know recent windows have been a bit dry, but have we really sunk so low to have Notorious as a reliable ITK

Not easy to sign a good player for a backup role. If he's happy to be a backup, chances are he isn't good enough. Established players are expecting to be regular starters. Tierney may be injury prone, but he still averaged 21 league games per season since moving to Arsenal. Would have averaged even more games if he were used more frequently off the bench. I mean, coaches are usually opting for attackers/midfielders off the bench rather than defenders.

Look no further than the LBs we are linked with this summer: a 19-year-old kid playing in League 1 and a 18-year-old kid playing in Sweeden (fwiw, I really like him).
